one of my dogs goes cross-eyed when we play fetch... or when he runs fast. He used to run straight into the house when we were playing fetch - he'd be trying to look at me and overshoot and hit the house. This dog feels NO pain, he would just shake it off and go right back to playing fetch. He also sleeps on his back with all 4 paws in the air, like he is playing dead. it's HILARIOUS. I have 4 dogs, and I can tell where each one is at night, because they ALL snore and they all snore differently. My goofball mutt has what I call a perforated snore...so I always know which one is him.

ALSO, when I play piano, he sings along by howling - his howl is so high pitched I didn't even think it was him - but he won't do it if you look at him. he's a very self-conscious singer. So i try hard not to laugh and I can't look, I have to just keep playing piano so he can continue singing. it's great.

He also like to go for piggy back rides. he'll get on the couch behind me and put his paws on my shoulders. I'll grab his back legs at my hips and stand up and march him around the house. He loves it.

Yes! Boxers are known as the comedians of the canine world, per breed books. He does funny stuff everyday, so much that I get used to it - but when friends visit, they are amazed at how silly & clever he can be. He: chases & pops soap bubbles, will complain when it is past his bedtime (go to the bottom of the steps & stare at you, sighing loudly in disgust when he gives up & goes up by himself), get under a blanket on the couch & play a game we call 'biting blanket'- he nibbles your elbow & then plays ostrich when you pretend he hurts you. He knows the sound of certain boxes or bags being opened & will run in the kitchen to get a taste. He is a very particular eater - for example, he loves bananas but only when they are yellow with a smidge of green at the ends & will spit out any that are before or beyond that stage. If you whisper 'squirrel' when he is sound asleep, his eyes will pop open & he rushes to the back door (squirrels are his arch-enemy!). He is a one-dog entertainment center!

My little girl doggy goes completely bonkers when I sneeze.

I have a tendency to sneeze about 7 to 10 times per 'session' and my dog howls and howls until I'm done. Right after the last sneeze she'll whimper a little bit, come up and sniff me and then lay down.

My Chocolate lab James takes the place of which ever of his owners gets out of bed first. I mean he gets under the blanket and puts his head on my pillow. Makes laundry nuts, but he's so cute. He likes to sleep in clothes baskets, and he's around 100 pounds, so no small pup here. He likes to go swimming in puddles and he hates to pee in the rain. He's a great duck retriever though.

Yes, he likes to pretend my hand is a worm and he squishes it with his head. Also he does puppy 500 laps around the house. He jumps out the window if i leave it open and he see my hubby coming home. BTW he is only 10 pounds. He wears costumes, and goes trick or treating around the block

Our dogs are the most comical dogs I have ever seen. It is not just one thing they do - it is the way they do it - together. With two large labs, they are constantly playing, and the younger one is a snot, always trying to take toys away from the older one (who could care less). He will watch the older one, and when he thinks he is not looking, just sneak over and grab the toy he wants from him. There are times he will just go and take it out of the older ones mouth.

We play every evening for about 45 minutes - the older one catching his frisbee, bringing it back to one of us, dropping it at our feet and sitting waiting for us to throw it again. He will bark everytime he sits down after placing the frisbee by our feet just to let us know he is ready to catch it again. While he is chasing the frisbee, our younger one brings his soccer ball to us - by "nosing" it to us at our feet. He is our little goalie. He will do back flips just to catch the soccer ball. He too will bring the ball and drop it at our feet. He does not bark, but sits, and when you put your feet by the soccer ball to kick it, he will go back and forth, trying to fake you out. Our neighbors sit on their deck and watch this and laugh the whole time.

The expressions they both have could make you melt (and laugh as hard as you can). They do understand us.

Yes. When we throw a ball, it runs to get it, and flips over to come back while grabbing the ball. Then on his way back to me, he drops it sniffing around.

His jokes are not funny though.
