I'm doing some research. I would like to know your reasons for/against illegal immigrants. Nothing too wordy. Numerate if at all possible. Thank you.

If you like, you can read some of my own answers on immigration through my profile. Note that I am against illegal immigration. I'm looking for a broad spectrum for reasons. My intent is to increase my own knowledge on the issue as well as gauge the current climate of a general population.

I am against illegal immigration.

1. They are here illegally, therefore they are criminals.
2. They don't pay taxes
3. They take jobs away from citizens and legal immigrants
4. They bring down the value of every neighborhood they inhabit by letting their houses go downhill.
5. Higher crime rates
6. More Illegal immigrants are in prison than citizens and legal immigrants.
7. They are bringing down the healthcare system
8. They refuse to learn English and demand that everything be handed to them on a silver platter
9. They are bringing down the education system
10. They bring down the wages of jobs. Janitorial wages used to be between 12-15 dollars an hour. Now its barely minimum wage.

Poor people pay very little towards education, health care and other services even if they pay taxes. Poor people just don't pay much in taxes. That is why we do, and should, limit how many poor people can immigrate. Illegal immigrants are budget busters who are ruining schools and health care services in our border states and areas where illegals concentrate. They also drain other services our own people need, or will need as the baby boomer generation retires.

The SS suspension account is taken into account in every reputable calculation of net cost, and the net cost is still huge. The SS suspension account may partiall off-set their cost only if it is NOT paid out to legalized illegals as proposed by the Senate Bill.

Furthermore, that account has nothing to do with education or health care funds. Take a look at the ESL demographics and test scores in LAUSD where most movable funds have already been moved to 'deal with' the ESL demographic issues, meaning our children get cut programs and even when they really need their own special education programs have to hire or become 'advocates' to obtain these services for their children.

This is theft. They shouldn't be here.

I am against illegals because they break the law crossing the border into this country. That's all the reason I need. There are a whole lot of other reasons that I'm against illegals, like how they force many people into unemployment, drive down wages, and take advantage of social services that they are NOT entitled to. They don't pay into our taxes (I don't mean sales tax), yet they get the benefits that even U.S. citizens don't get! If they are illegal, then they broke OUR laws. They do not have any rights here if they're here illegally. I'm tired of seeing schools overcrowded, and children not getting the education they deserve. I'm tired of watching crime rates and taxes go up. I'm tired of everything that's happening because of illegal immigrants, and I'm sure that some people feel the same way as well. Must I say more? I didn't think so.

Im not really for it or against it. But my main concern is the gangsters from Central America, such as the MS-13, bringing their mess to this country, while some people either from Mexico, or Central America come here to try to improve their lives. And they will work jobs that some Americans dont want to do. If those jobs are not worked, who will do it? Other thing (I dont know if it pertains to this question) the welfare. Not only the illegal immigrant do it, but everyone else. Now, there are some poor people who are in need of it, but others have the nerve of abusing it. All i hear is the b itching of this this and that. My only major concern is not only the gangsters that I mentioned come to do their evil, but terrorists coming in as well. There are some people who are really hard workers, while some are freaking lazy and want to live off from others ugh....

It's illegal and unfair to those who go through all the work and steps to immigrate legally to this country!
My mother-in-law is an immigrant- it has cost her lots of money in fees, etc- it's not fair that she has to pay all of that and jump through all the hoops involved. I have no problem with immigration if done legally, I just don't think it's fair to let people off who break the law when those who do the right thing are the ones to pay!

i am not for illegal immigration. i would prefer our government recognize the reality of immigration and address it through legislation. however, i understand that the people who do come here illegally do so out of need. they would come here legally if there were channels for very poor people to do so, but there just aren't.

the people who do come through illegal methods fill a labor need in this country, particularly in small business.

most of the people who come here illegally do pay taxes, and don't collect refunds, social security or health and welfare benefits.

people who come here illegally, given the opportunity, can work their way into higher positions through education and work. all groups that have come here through mass immigration have demonstrated this, including latinos. in the process, our culture becomes richer and more "american," as it is more diverse and accepting.

people who come here illegally remind us that we have it better than anywhere else in the world, and that living conditions in some parts of the world are not acceptable. it is the american way to give people a chance to make better of their life, despite being born into such difficult living conditions.

people who come here illegally demonstrate that our immigration system is outdated and not keeping up with globalizing trends.

people who come here illegally remind americans that english is not the only language in the world and ours is not the only culture.

By the very fact that they are entering another sovereign country in violation of that country's laws doesn't speak too highly for their moral dispostion.
I understand that their home countries are dungholes but that won't change unless enough good people stay and try to change it.
Also, some of them come here with communicable diseases which threaten the health of the general population.

Here's a few

am pro because I have seen the devastation on the faces of minors. They come over here from Guatemala,Honduras,Ecuador,El Salvador, and even one from Ethiopia, they were 1 was running from his father that cut him with a machete (he was in MS13) 1 who was sold in to sex slavery, one who's mother was a prostitute and his father was killed,. There's more but I feel that's enough. Not that I feel I owe this explanation the fact that I do should be enough.

For me it has nothing to do with who's doing what in order to benefit others. For me it's seeing that honest hardworking people get the opportunity to provide for their families to be able to escape from some of the horrors they face in the country they are from. I spoke with 2 people one last night and one today from other countries one who is in his home country and one who is here (legally) he speaks perfect English, both had similar stories no food not enough money etc. The one here just found out his cousin was murdered Nothing he can do indo drug lords is who they think killed him he was working not dealing in drugs the kill was for protection money(his protection he paid and got killed anyway). The other is afraid to come here it would have to be illegally but he will not He can't speak English and he has pride in his country but He's scared he would give anything to be here . That's just 2 I know
These are some of the reasons I've given other times

And more in the pics on my 360 pages
