Is it necessary for a man to get on one knee (traditional) to propose or are there other suggested ways?

Whatever he does, however he does it, if you are in love with him, it will not matter in the least. It's the meaning in his words that matters!!
(BTW, my fiance proposed to me while we were lying side by side on the couch and I thought it was the sweetest thing ever!)

I say traditional is best. There are times in life when tradition is there for a reason. I would much prefer to start my marriage the same way most marriages started. That said, if you are physically unable to or you despise tradition, then it is fine to be unconventional.

depends on your intended. if she likes tradition then go with that, but personally i like the idea of facing each other and holding hands-that's how my husband proposed
