I am getting serious about working out this next semester. Besides my normal classes, I'm taking kickboxing(1 day), tennis(1day), Yoga(1day) and a Fitness Lab class (cardio & weights) twice a week before work. I feel like I have tried EVERYTHING so i'm a little skeptical about losing weight with this schedule. I kno I have to eat right and drink lots of water and I'm wondering if this is too much or too little? How much weight is it healthy to lose by December?

I'm sure if your eating right the weight should fall off. Make sure you eat plenty of protein and carbs, also don't push yourself too hard especially at the beginning, if your body is aching give it a rest for a day or so muscles need time to recover.

I would say by december you could have lost anywhere between 15-20 lbs although that does depend on how much your starting weight is if your a larger person you will burn more calories exercising than a smaller person therefore you would loose more weight.

Also bear in mind that muscle weighs twice as much as fat so even if the scale isn't seeming much different you will more than likely be losing inches. When you begin I would not only weigh your self but take body measurements also.

The experts now say you can work out up to 6 days a week so you are not doing too much. You could prabably lose 20 pounds by december if you keep it up.

Go to the below site for a calculator that gives you weight loss over a given period of time.

You should do weights 2x a week and cardio 3-5. So you may want to add a cardio (walking or running) just for good measure.
As far as how much weight is healthy to lose, it depends on how much you weigh.

figure 1-2 lbs per week weight loss is normal and safest. but I think what you have laid out is good. I've always been told at least 3 days cardio 5 is best for at least 30 minutes, at least 3 days weight training for at least 30 minutes and stretch every day for at least 10 minutes. good luck it seems like you're on the right track.

well i thought i needeed to lose weight. Then i went to the docters for a check up, and she said that i was normal. So what i am saying is that jus check with the docter. If they say your over weight stick with eating one serving and don't eat junk food. Also do crunches every day.

Sincerly,
DMF

I think exersize every day is good for you. You should not lose more than 2 pounds a week. Focus on your good health and your weight will drop.

10lbs in a month is healthy. although with those kinds of workouts you might actually gain weight because of the muscles you will be building. i would talk to one of your teachers for those classes. they would be able to tell you for sure.

Try this workout. If your body or you feels like this is too much for you to handle, then change your workout.
