Due to the 1979 US Embassy Hostage Crisis in Tehran, both the US and Canadian Embassies closed down there... (Canada helped six American diplomats escape Iran and closed down their Embassy). If you avoided the draft, it's possible you could face jail time as that is the custom in many countries.

Here is the information for the Iranian Interests Section at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C.

Since Iran has no diplomatic representation in the US, then Pakistan aids Iranians on its behalf, they should be able to help you with that Information. While in Iran, if you are a US Citizen, the Swiss Embassy has a similar US Interests section at their Embassy to aide Americans in Iran. I advise calling them up and asking this question.

Call the Iranina consulate, there is one in New York and definetly there is one in Washington DC. you may find it on the web too.

Make up a great excuse why you scaped the military draft, like some family member was dying in the US and you had to travel, something like that.

Make it fast, since maybe soon the Iranian Embassy may move out of the US, with all the diplomatic harshness they are having right now.

I really hope you find a way to return. I also hope you have the opportunity to die for your country. My only regret is that I will not be the one to oblige you. Sadly, that will be the privilege of someone younger than I.
