My dog is a border collie and I think there the best because they are easy to train and they can be trained to do anything any other dog can do. I take him to the park and everybody loves him and is amazed by the way he behaves. He's my first dog but before I picked that breed I did alot of research first. But he's great.

my dad had a syberian huskie named Zack who obeyed my dad VERY well. My dad could put any type of food on the ground near Zack and he wouldn't even touch it unless my dad said it was ok. Zack live 2 b about 100years old in dog years. Right now i have an ostraelian shepherd and he is a great dog. we were thinking about getting a Border Collie but got an osie instead cuz border collies r made 4 hearding and don't really l;isten or r sometimes mean or something like that. They will basically try 2 heard u by nipping @ your heals, barking, and chasing u. thae also need lots of exercise cuz they r made 4 hearding sheep and stuff so they run alot. Osies r the same but not as bad. My dog isn't mean but he is very onrey. He does need 2 b run about 10-20 minutes 2-3 times a day. I run him by riding my bike and he runs ahead of me. Osies and Border Collies r VERY fast dogs. They also look almost exactly the same. the 1 i have is brown, white, and black. there r also bluish colored 1s that have gray fur on there back w/ black spots . and they have brown on there cheacks and a little on there legs. they have some grayish blue on there face and r very pretty dogs. also, when osies r born and r still asleap, they have their tales bobed(cut) off b cuz they have really long tales and when they r hearding sheep and stuff @ the farm or wherever, their tales get caught in the gate and other things. u can request 2 have your dogs tale not bobbed off but u would have 2 have picked whitch dog u want while they r still sleeping and thats hard cuz u can't tell their persnality then. Well, i have 2 go run my dog so i'll tty! lol. hope this helps! Oh, and German shepherds r also really great dogs!

No such thing - only the right dog in the right situation. THAT is the best! An elderly lady with bad hips would be better off with a Japanese Chin, an active jogger would do well paired with a Siberian Husky. Reversing these breeds would spell disaster! Researching a breed's personality before buying to make sure it fits one's lifestyle is the best way to get your 'lifelong' pet. And buying from a reputable breeder will help insure it is a healthy one, too!

There is not a best breed of dogs, just the persons personal preference. I personally like Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, and Boxers.
Good luck.

It really depends on your situation and what you want to do with your dog. Reputable kennel owners will often pick the puppy for you after they've found out what you want the dog for. Do you want a family dog, a sporty dog, a guard dog? big or small? do you live in an apartment or on an acreage?

Based on the answers to the questions above will you know what dog is right for you? I'm a fan of border collies and choclate labs... I also like the cross bred dogs...lots of personality and typically robust in terms of their health.

My personal favorite are Siberian Huskies, or Mutts. Mongrels are usually more healthy than purebred dogs and have lots of personality. I especially like the larger dog breeds.

I would definitely say the Havanese. They originated in the Mediterranean. They are non-shedding/ non-allergenic, fun loving companion dogs that love to romp with their family members. Great travelers, come in many colors, range in size from 7-13 #
Must see to appreciate. Read about them on the Internet.....I am not exaggerating a bit.

We've had Dogue de Bordeaux's in our family. We love them. Probably my favorite breed.

But I think the best breed is one that best fits the owners personality and lifestyle.

I think Labs are the most popular breed but they aren't for everyone. I can't imagine ever having a lab because they aren't my type of dog.

my opinion on the best breed is the golden retriever. they are the best if you are looking for a family dog and one that is good with kids. i have 3 golden retrievers and they are the best i can ask for with my kids. and they also get along with other animals, too.
