In my opinion, yes. I use the BreathRx system by Discus Dental. It includes a tongue scraper, mouthwash, toothpaste, and breath spray. It's available on the shelf at Walgreens for about $15 -20 bucks. If you do the three step program which inludes brushing, scraping, and then rinsing with BreathRx mouthwash you will wake up the next morning without morning breath.
I actually use the toothpaste in the morning and can go much of the day without bad breath even after eating lunch!

Just brushing your teeth is not enough or even mouth wash. You should also brush your tongue. If you look at your tongue, it looks like a piece of carpet and it holds a lot of the stuff that causes the smell. It is just like the dirt that stays in the carpet even though you swept it. Give it a try. A bit of everything will help.

Unfortunately not. It's caused by the bacteria that builds up in your mouth whilst your asleep (& sleeping with your mouth open - can't be helped).
You are right to brush your teeth twice a day, you should do this anyway.
You could always keep a pack of tic tacs next to the bed???

Try NOT to eat too soon before you go to bed (at least 2 hours), make SURE you brush your tongue after you brush your teeth, and drink alittle water before you turn in. See if that helps.

That's bacteria.
We all have morning breath.
Do you develop little white pustules on your tonsils? Have you been checked for Gingivitis or Halitosis?
These are all possible symptoms - if not, pick up a tongue scrubber, floss your teeth, and keep brushing.

one thing to help is to use a tongue scraper and get all the gunk off of your tongue, that is responsible for a big% of bad breath. you can get the tongue scrapers in the toothbrush aisle. also remember to brush and floss and use your listerine--that always helps!!
