you need an attorney who handles family affairs. You won;t need to go to court, just you, your fiance and the kids will sit in a room with the attorney and a judge and he will sign the papers. not too costly. Just attorney fee and filing fees, not sure how much in CA, but in NY it was about $1,500. They also issue new birth certificates for the kids with you listed as the birth parent. Good luck

formerly he can undertake them you and he could be married. After the marriage, contact a kinfolk regulation criminal professional on your state and locate out if there's a minimum era of time you and he could be married formerly he applies to undertake. some states have that, others do not. also ask the criminal professional if the daddy's precise could be involuntaritly terminated via lack of contact and help (probably so). If not what desires to be executed to terminate rights. once you and your fiance are married and any necessry era of time has handed, then have your criminal professional get the workplace artwork going. after the workplace artwork is executed, a courtroom date is determined and the choose will ask your husband some questions and then he will signal the decree.

I don't know about the cost, but don't do it unless you plan to be part of their lives even if you and your girl don't work out. They will be legally your kids and the worst thing that can happen is that you desert them....think about how your next gf would feel about you spending time and money on kids that aren't yours. I'm not trying to discourage you, I think its great, but I just want you to consider what happens IF you and your gf don't work out, 50% of marriages don't and you aren't even married yet. Are you really willing to devote your life to them even if she isn't in the picture anymore? They aren't toys and this shouldn't be done as an expression of your love for HER, because you aren't adopting her you are adopting THEM so it shouldn't be about anybody but them.

The only cost will be the court filing fees. In some states it can be as little as $40.00. Great job on being a stand up guy.

I am sorry I do not have an answer for your question, however, I have to say you are a brave man and you must really love that woman in order to do that. God Bless you and good luck raising those kids.
