This seems like she is extremely religious. If this is the case then she probably thought of the Virgin Mary as too much of a sacred person to share in this manner. It would be a sort of sacrilege. To extremely religious people this would be a great insult and completely uncomfortable. If this fetish is something that you need to pursue then, yes, I would forget about her. If it is something that you can get over, a phase in your life, then I would go and apologize and try to get past it.

Try asking wpmen to play the role of an innocent virgin instead of the Virgin Mary. Many (if not most or all) women will find that very offensive. Think whatever you will in your mind but I wouldn't tell the girl about it.
