She is just teething. When she bites you, correct her, and get her some dog toys. She will stop teething at about 6-7 months

It's not okay for a pup to be biting or nipping. If the behavior isn't corrected now, it will only get worse. Shaking a can or smacking the dog on the nose doesn't "teach" it anything except to be afraid of you. The behavior will not stop on it's own.
Here's what we do when we have nipping pups (it's based on what the mother dog does to correct bad behavior in her puppies): Whenever the dog tries to bite, we put our hand around the dog's snout and close the dog's mouth. (Mother dogs will put their mouths over their puppies snout to stop them from biting them.) While the dog's mouth is closed, squeeze it lightly and say, "no bite" in a firm but calm voice, then release the dog's mouth. If the dog tries again to bite, we do the same thing... and keep doing it until the dog learns that trying to nip does nothing but stop all play and other activity, and gets its mouth shut for it.
It usually only takes us day to teach our pups not to bite.

Try this
If she bites tell her no,give her something you want her to bite and put her out of the room for a few minutes be consistent with her and she will stop cause all dogs hate being separated from their keepers. Her biting has to be brought under control before she gets her adult teeth. Also sometimes puppies can mouth a lot when their new teeth are coming trough you can help her a bit by putting some of her chew toys in the freezer before you give them to her.

I know whats the problem. She is still a puppy and she is teething, therefore you need to buy some toys that will distract her so she will not harm anyone including you. Make sure they are not cudly as they will make her angry, at the same time you should make sure that it is not too hard as it will brake her teeth. The best toys are the ones that seems like there is a thick layer of jelly iside which makes it soft and it has got a thick layer which keeps the jelly in a safe position and stops her from eating it. Hope it helped. Good luck!!!

It shouldn't bight and chew stuff anyway. Everytime ur german shepppard bites or chews anything give it a light tap on the nose. Dogs have sensitive nerves in there noses so it will only hurt him little bit if you do you it gently and then it will know that it has done wrong

My puppy stopped biting when she was 6-7 months. I just provided her with a lot of stuffed animals (watch out if she starts to pull stuffing out) and old socks tied in knots. She also liked to chew on soda bottles (take them away if she starts pulling pieces off). She also had a thing for volleyballs. I hope your problem gets better and don't get too frustrated...easier times are just around the corner!

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tr.im/feKir
By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.
To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.

My GSD/cattle dog puppy was a crazy crazy biter and nipper. This didnt fully end till she was about 6 months old..Its just them teething...What worked best for me was when she bite me I would jump up and yell ouch...I would stand there and fold my arms, not looking or talking to her...I had to do this like 30 times a day..Or we would yell ouch and put a toy in her mouth...After about a month of this she realized that she got no attention when she did this...Also may i suggest having lots of different textured toys around for her to chew on..

Don't keep switching methods, just withdraw your hands, stand up and turn your back, and remove yourself and do that EVERY time. If she learns that mouthing means she gets ignored then she'll stop.
She's only 16 weeks, so you've a way to go yet. Take her to puppy training classes now as you need to learn to be a more confident and assertive owner.
