Yes, it is. I saw the figures once for how many calories you burn per hour of walking, I think its about 300 or so but it should be possible to find it on Google, so you divide that figure into a pound and find out how many hours you need to walk to burn a pound. Again, if memory is right, a pound is about 3600 calories, but I could be wrong on that. Your body burns something like about 2500 calories a day just living, so you can see that walking can help you lose weight fairly fast. Its also good for your cardiovascular system and its easy on your bones and joints, unlike running. Good luck!

It is very good. Try putting your treadmill on a 7 degree incline. Works better on your gluts.

Reduce your stress. Your stress hormone cortisol could be activated by extremely low-calorie eating plans, intense training, lack of sleeping and day-to-day worries, which brings about a spike in glucose levels within your blood. More worryingly, it can contribute to blocked arteries and fat develop around your internal organs, putting you prone to diabetes and heart disease. The one prescription for this is to… chill out.

sorry not familiar with klm per hour, but you will need to do more distance than what you are doing if you are only walking, I exercize in the morning, walk half mile run half mile walk 1/3 run 1/3 walk 1/3, and it is yet hard to lose weight, but I am toning and building muscle which weighs more than fat.

Yes it is.... I have lost weight using a tredmil but you should gradually increase the time and distance and if you have an incline option on your tredmil, use that as well....not only will this help you lose weight but it will also help you challange yourself as well...good luck!

math formula for weight loss
input calories (food) less than output calories (work) it does not matter if you walk for 2.5 km if you eat food (energy) for 3 km per day you won't loose it. However the exercise is bound to improve you health! so congratulations on your first step to health

Keep a tiny water glass, which you need to refill often, instead of a large water bottle on your workplace.
