She gets annoying!
Like the other day she peed on the bathrooms rug! She is train to cry or scracth when she wants to go do her stuff and I even bought a kitty litter box and she still does that! Is it because she is kinda of old or just because she is lazy?
What can I do? Rugs this days are Expensive!

I wouldnt hurt the cat or anything, but when the cat does something again I would Say 'no' in a very angry voice so the cat knows its wrong. Then pick her up and put her in the litter box. That should teach her.

For a cat that is litter box trained to go on rugs and other things, there is usually a reason. Quite often, there is a urinary tract infection that can easily be cured with antibiotics. This is especially true in older cats. Get a urine sample or just take the cat to the vet and tell em the problem.

I've had cats that have never done that and I have had some that used a litter box most of the time but every now and then would pee somewhere they shouldn't. Once they "mark" a territory they will usually continue to pee there. You might want to check with your vet especially if your cat is older. Sometimes they get urinary tract infections which may make them go in strange places. Good luck!

She's old. She'll start to get use to it. Put your cat litter where the rug use to be. Or flip the rug. Either that or you can buy a new rug and lock her out of the bathroom. TO ALL CAT LOVERS:** CATS ARE SMART, AND THEY A VERY HARD TO TRAIN BECAUSE THEY DON'T SERVE HUMANS LIKE SERVANTS, THEY HAVE THEY'RE OWN PRIORITY OF WHAT THEY LIKE TO DO CINDY L. SAYS CATS ARE IDIOTS, DON'T LISTEN TO HER!!!. [Oh and dogs are OK as long as they aren't killing dogs.^ ^ '']**

If the litter box isn't spotless everyday, she will go on the rug. And she must not be trained very well to go and scratch when she wants to go out.....try a spray bottle if you can catch her in the act.

If your cat is trained to go to the litter box...it should not be a problem...but usually when cats do things of that nature...change the litter (cats love fresh litter), or attempt cleaning the litter box.

when she does it again get a hold of her front paws and press them into the litter box in a digging motion she will probably cry but it should stimulate her natural responses to the potty box using a liter box is more of a natural instict than a rug

It COULD be your cats age... -Mine started doing that once in awhile after she got into her teens... But more often than NOT, I think cats just want some extra attention (hey- even THEY get lonely, have "bad days", & get mad at us because we didn't feed them on time!), once in a while. Try to give your cat alittle extra "cuddle" the next couple of weeks & see if that helps. Good luck!

first question- do you keep the litter box clean? Cats really like their litter box to be clean.
second thought- maybe your cat has a bladder infection. Keep plenty of water available.

Is she spayed? Yes, it could be because she's old... or she may have a UTI. These are common in animals and may cause a trained pet to have frequent accidents. See your vet asap, as an untreated UTI can lead to severe kidney infections and more.
