What is your worst memory on the first day ( or any day) of school..
For me it was in 5th grade when the teacher was picking on a student that had been homeschooled and was very shy, she kept trying to get him to talk and when he wouldn't kept putting check marks by his name...
As a mom~~ It was my daughter's first day of Kindergarten (she's now in 6th) the day started off rough, I was sobbing and she ran to get on the bus without a hug bye to me...then to top off the day they misplaced her--the teacher got her and another student confused and made the other student ( a boy named Eric) get on the bus when he was supposed to wait for a parent and my daughter (Erin) wait for me to pick her up when she was supposed to be on the bus.
I still to this day am a nervous wreck when it comes to the first day of school. What are your school memories?

i had just bought new jeans, and i left the tag on the back of the leg ( a very noticeable spot) that said the size and everything

Worst day was the first day of school when I was in 1st grade. I had just moved to France, and I didn't speak any french at all. The teacher didn't speak English either. She was trying to teach me how to write cursive, because that was what all the kids in France wrote in. But she was a horrible teacher, and got impatient really fast. Some of the other kids were misbehaving, and she slapped them. Even though we couldn't' understand each others language, she made it clear that if I didn't' get the cursive right, I would get slapped as well. Fortunately for me, I finally did get it right, and she didn't slap me, and after a week my parents moved me to a different school. But now I am always nevous whenever I go to a new school.

I can still remember the first day of school when I went to the sixth grade. I wanted to dress nice, so stupid me, I wore a skirt. What I didnt know was that we had to sit on the gymnasium floor and listen to a presentation of the school for like an hour! I had to sit there and keep my legs together, flat on the floor forever! Nobody would not even give me a chair. My legs and feet kept falling asleep and it was torture when everyone was staring at me.

Grade primary...pretty new dress & matching book bag (feeling very much like a big girl)...knocking on the door after the bus trip to school...no teachers anywhere to be seen...I peed.

the first day of school was always great for me, with possibly the exception of kindergarten
I had so looked forward to learning how to read and I was extremely frustrated that we didn't learn a thing, not one word!
