This happens because we allow it to happen, if not as individuals then by the election of those who carry out these policies under the guise of "compassionate conservatism."
Of the two items you listed, at least space travel does not kill innocent people.
Ultimately, it will be Divine judgment that will prevail. We will be held responsible for our personal actions, and those that lead others into "wrongful action" will be judged accordingly.

It is not morally correct at all. Especially when the wars are illegal, the justifications fiction and aren't planned in a way that will actually help tensions in the future.
There are times when war is necessary, but that hasn't happened in a long time. Sometimes there are times when wars are made necessary by bad foreign policies, such as Afghanistan. (meaning Afghanistan was necessary for Bin Laden and the Taliban, but if the CIA had never given weapons to and trained the Taliban 9/11 and the war in Afghanistan would not have been necessary).
(as a side note, the CIA did train and supply known Islamic extremists because they were currently fighting the Soviet invaders).
It is immoral to be killing people unnecessarily, and the statements made choosing to kill for money, power and control over saving lives is pretty dark.
As for space exploration, it is important, but a luxury.

Number one, how much do you put of your personal income into buying foor and medicine for those in need? Until you give at least 10% of your gross income, don't be chiding others. You can give to United Way, Catholic Charities, Lutheran Appeal, Catholic Relief Services, Food for the Poor and many, many more. Rather than complain, start with yourself.

We spend more on war than food and medicine.
But, people don't have very long thought patterns. They worry about the next two years, at most, not the next 10 - 20.

No, it's not right.
If we give out food and medicine, ppl are going to have to stop having so many kids. I think we should also give out condoms, and free tube-ties (permanent) & IUD's (last for 5 years). http://www.fwhc.org/birth-control/iudinfo.htm
There are too many ppl, having too many babies, that they can't afford.
It's so irresponsible it makes me sick.
