I have lived in UAE for 8 years and I agree - it is a beautiful place to be in.
Made up of 7 emirates, can be related to provinces or states as we know them. The capital is Abu Dhabi - which is an emirate too. Dubai is referred to the trading capital of the country. Abu Dhabi has most of the oil when Dubai thrives on commerce and trade. Each province has a provincial government, but the country also has a federal government - headed by the Sheikh - the ruler of the country.

An emirate is a territory governed by an emir, or noble. The United Arab Emriates was formed from a loose federation of seven tribal sheikhdoms in 1971/1972.

The UAE is similar i suppose to the UK as it is a union of several smaller Arabic states. The term 'Emirate' is the same as a kingdom, as an 'Emir' is the traditional ruler.

Dubai, its united capital, is one of the worlds formost cities. Its simply stunning to see, a true example of a modern, despite being Westernised, Arabic state

I've been there. It's mostly made up of different tribes that banded together to share the wealth. They do have cities, Dubai being the biggest one. And one of the nicest. It's very western adn very cosmopolitian. I wouldn't mind actually going back.
