that's waht everyone tell me- that asian girls are looking for material things first if you have a great job or nice car. and good income. I don't believe but can somebody tell if that's actually true.

Maybe some girls are that way, but not all of them. I'm Asian and definitely not materialistic. It's all in the upbringing and if these girls are Americanized or not. If they weren't brought up here, then they may be gold diggers, but that's in all races not just Asian girls. Whoever you got your info from is being stereotypical and not getting their facts straight.

I am half Asian and I do not look for the material things.
I think with most people its all about the experience that they have been through.
When it comes to "gold-diggers" it can be any race and any sex. I have had an Asian friend who was materialistic and had to have all name brand items. But I also have a Caucasian friend, before she got married, that was the same way.
It depends on the person, so do not be detoured from dating an asian girl because of someone elses bad experience. Get to know a person first and always be careful of the crazies.

While in Vietnam I was only an E-5 and dated a few girls. In Japan as E-6 It was also of no concern. Guam, Palau, the Philippines was the same.

OMG! I'm afraid to admit that that is the case for most people here. I'm from the Philippines. and from what i have observed THAT IS what is happening. and i don't get it!
really. seriously. i don't know how that kind of relationship works. you know, there's this off-handed joke that they pass around here, "marry someone with 3 Ms. Matanda (old), Mayaman (rich), Madaling mamatay (one who dies easily)."
well, that is only a generalization. it actually depends on the kind of girls that you are with. i mean, Asians are like any other humans. you guys also have gals who dig for your wealth. so it is here. but the girls here are just sweeter i guess.
my my i can blabber about this issue for so long.
but there are also other types, the decent ones, who don't dig the money. they go for character. they're not easy to get. they have principles and usually are proud of what they have accomplished. i don't know the percentage of them though that stay on the net.
you might wonder why they dig the rich guys? i think mostly it's because of the poverty issue here. there is something wrong with the mentality. i mean, we have enough resources, we just don't know how to exploit them. and some, most of the gals the you have heard about, want the easy way out.
sorry to break it to you. but maybe that does not apply to all nationalities. or maybe i just haven't been around those type of women that you are talking about. but as for me, screw wealth. ill earn it on my own. I'd rather have love and be loyal to my principles, thank you.

My brother dates a hot asian girl and he is broke. I have asked her about this and she said that usually asain girls do prefer guys with money . My brother is an exception because he is "hot" and he has a great personality and he has ambition .
