First to my Muslim bro/sis it is not appropriate for us to criticize christianity or judaism, it is not our place to do so and it does not help us. So for those of you asking questions about christianity and judaism such as, as to why they "dont fast or etc." It is not our place to criticize them, this how they've practiced their religion and we must respect that. To my christian bro/sis i would like to say that many of the questions are attacks on Islam & terrorism. Many have no basis. Isn't it time we just had dialogue? no muslim here has supported or defended terrorism or the killing of innocents, yet you insist its "Islamic." Its an appeal for dialogue and understanding and clearing of misunderstandings its up to us "normal" folk in our religions to do so. So if you have serious questions please ask seriously and politely both Muslim, Christian and Jew. It only will benefit us thats what our aim should be.
Thank you

To mesum: Is that what you should be concerning yourself with? can you change them? why are u deluding yourself? People change because they wish to. Remember people define a religion and right now we need to focus on that, or what is Islam going to be defined as in the future? if we do not start dialogue (which includes q&a) how will people geniunely understand? Dont you see this is the best way for understanding of Islam? for you to just put out ayahs from the Quran to a christian will not make them a believer, and vice versa. It will be through dialogue and mutual understanding, love and respect as Allah commanded us and the Prophet (saw) taught us to. Our approach must change bc right now what is happening is not working dont you see that?

To kingreef777:
your question was based on nothing. You have no history on Hezbullah and know what the organization is about. It has armed military wing and has the right to defend itself. Israel blantly attacked Lebanon, hezbullah fired rockets after israel bombed airports 50 miles from where hezbullah is. make any sense? Hezbullah in the islamic world is not a terrorist organization, just b/c the u.s has labeled it as one doesnt mean it is. And now it has been even more legitmasized b/c of the west. The initial reports of the kidnappings mind you reported

"The militant group Hezbollah captured two Israeli soldiers during clashes Wednesday across the border in southern Lebanon, prompting a swift reaction from Israel, which sent ground forces into its neighbor to look for them. The forces were trying to keep the soldiers' captors from moving them deeper into Lebanon, Israeli government officials said on condition of anonymity. [Forbes 7/12/06]" any clearer as to how your news can get manipulated after initial reports?

To seraphem:
Have you spoken to a Muslim leader? I assume you pull those verses off of websites. Again if i were to open the Bible i too could find many things about it that i disagree with but then again thats not why i would want to open a bible it would be for knowledge. Same with the Quran u open it and read it for spiritualness and guidence. Again many of the things you cite are out of context and hardly would expect you to understand them. And i would guess what i said that this post wouldnt be meant for you, it would require an open mind and no pre-conceptions about a people. Sorry if this could not benefit you in any way. Stick with what you know...its the only thing that will comfort you. peace.

npaki786,
Maybe you missed a few things.
"So for those of you asking questions about christianity and judaism such as, as to why they "dont fast or etc.""
If I remember right, Christians, Jews, and Muslims all fast. So . . . ?

"To my christian bro/sis i would like to say that many of the questions are attacks on Islam & terrorism. "
We are not brothers and sisters. We are the children of God (Christians) and you are the children of disobedience. I REALLY don't mean to sound harsh but I am just reporting that the scriptures makes a dividing line between those that are saved and those that are not. If I were to let that pass nobody may have told you the truth. We are divided by more than just terrorism. We are divided by God. I will not lie and tell you something different.

"Isn't it time we just had dialogue?"
I think I just did.

"no muslim here has supported or defended terrorism or the killing of innocents, yet you insist its "Islamic.""
Yes they have. I carefully crafted a question and here is what happened.

So clearly you see that they come out of the woodwork when their guard is down. Maybe you need to talk to them?

I think you have a a great view on religion between things.I have always felt the same way i think that people get so judge mental about other peoples religion.I do think that Christians do it to Muslims most of all religions.I d also think that Christians think they are better then other religious people but that's my opinion. You cant blame people for thinking of Muslims as terrorist because of what happened on 9/11 but it is wrong that people do so and people should get to know each others before they criticize them. Its nice to know that people see things in the right way with out having a particular side.

Christianity and Islam like to kill their fellow human beings.

I know there are many nice people who believe in God, but the real evil amongst us, are the vast majority of religious followers and believers who have clearly shown over time to be the major instigators of wars, violence, abuse, greed and practically everything evil on our planet.

Even according to Genesis in the Bible, God is clearly the greatest mass murderer in history. The Bible is full of terrible atrocities and evil, far more than nice things, but of course believers will just ignore or twist the atrocities into whatever soothes their confused minds.

Everyone knows of murders and violence associated with Christianity and Islam, I suppose all of the other major religions have a track record of killing their fellow human beings as well.

I think you have a very interesting approach to religion.
All religions should be able to follow their different faiths without
receiving criticism from other religions .But as any one religion
tries to force their ways of thinking on other religions it never likely to work .
The killing of one religion against another has been going on since the beginning of time and will carry on until the end of time

Brother, do you have a Quranic verse that tells you not question others for what they believe in?

And they say: "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." Those are their (vain) desires. Say: "Produce your proof if ye are truthful." (Quran 2:111)

If you won't ask them for the proof and are not able to examine them, how will then you know you are following the right path?

However, you missed the point. What we said is "No Muslim has CONDEMNED the terrorism by Muslims"!

it would be better if we would all get of eachothers throats about religon. most jews/christians/muslims even understand the religon or faith that they are tearing down. just being polite would help.
