It comes with the territory when you become a Nan, you will find that you are a pain and cause your grand kids stress.

my nan has been around forever, she was 92 last week, and shes always been there. you, as a youngster will scare her witless as you cavort around full of innocence and youth... and believe me, nan knows what going to happen...skinned knees, broken arms, broken hearts... shes been there and done this twice already, once herself, and one with your mum, or dad as they were growing up, which makes her the closest thing to an expert youll find. listen to her, she is the untapped fountain of knowledge, and there aint no books to teach what nana knows, and, she obviously loves you...so be cool, she wont be there forever...

perhaps she is thinking that time is passing by for herself, maybe she is bored and its easy to poke her nose in others bussiness. her values may be different to yours, and it scares older people to see some of the younger people's behaviour. she needs to know that you are not a wild one, which she is aware of from news, media etc. show her some respect ,be worthy of respect and you may get on better.
good luck

Really? Sure it's not the other way around? I'll give you forty years to trade places and see what your granddaughter thinks of you when you fret about her welfare!
A gran!

Because we all eventually return to childhood. She looked after her kids & probably her grandchildren sometimes so now it is her turn to be looked after.

Can't answer this without knowing how old you both are, but my guess is that you are very, very young.
