Just state the rules. Tell them that they have to stay outside. Make it clear to your daughter that her friends are welcome to play outside in the yard.

get to know your daughter freinds and their parents..and what if its really hot outside? you gonna make the kid stay out side??..i wouldnt let my kids over your house... but if your nervous about having them run around the house then have a spot where thye can play (either downstairs or in your daughter room) and mkae sure you tell the kid that before thay leave they need to put all the toys away and clean up any mess they make.

Just tell your daughter that she is not allowed to have company inside the house but that it's perfectly fine to have them come play with her while she's outside. That way she'll know not to even ask you if they can come in. If the kids ask, just inform them nicely that your daughter isn't allowed to have to have "inside" company. You don't owe anyone any more of an explanation than that.

Make an effort to get to know the kids and introduce yourself to the parents. Feel good that the kids want to come down to your house to play. Or you could always limit to one friend over.

Get to know them. I mean they live down the street, so you will be seeing them alot. Maybe talk to their parents or something so you know them better. And just tell you daughter that when she has friends over that they need to stay outside. She will listen to you.

Get to know their parents, but be very careful. Kids lie about things when they are mad. I was accused of spanking a child when I never laid a finger on her. It would be a good idea to set up play dates so that their parents can be there with their kids and see how they act in your house and how you act with their kids.

Just set up ground rules. Ensure that if the rules aren't followed, then they loose a play day.

why are you afraid of a couple of 6 year olds? my mom had no problem telling me and my friends what we were gonna do at her house. if you don't want them in the house...then so be it. there's no explanation required.
