I was on religious nut "whynotaskdon"'s website which also propagates many other useless myths and found out that the church he follows or the people he associates with think that the person who wrote Harry Potter is possessed by evil.

Any other Christian shares the same thought as this guy who he is an unique idiot?

Harry Potter is just fantasy. Next they'll be saying burn Superman at the stake; cause he's subhuman and can fly!!

Theres no room in modern society for the Salem witch trials. Give us some peace all religious nut cases.

Good luck to JK Rowling, she's made a lot of money and alot of kids READ!

I am a Christian and I love the Harry Potter books. I enjoy fantasy and that's what it is. I think that their are Satan worshipers and followers and that some information is dangerous to impressionable children or teens and even some adults. But Harry Potter is made up, good always wins over evil, and the lady can write. So this is one Christian that can't wait for the last book although I am afraid that she is going to kill Harry off in the last book.
Unfortunately he is not a unique idiot, he is a misinformed zealot, but he's not alone in his views. He is the type of person who gives Christians a bad name, look at the "God Hates Fags" bunch from Westboro, TN they profess to be doing Gods will by picketing funeral and memorial services. People do some sad things in the name of Christianity.

J.K. Rowling is not possessed by evil, those people are probably jelous of jkr because she writes an awesome series, and is the most weathies person in england.Jk is a really smart writer, you can question almost anything she writes, to help you figure out the ending.Harry potter is not evil, it is the most awesome book ever, i only read the books 5 times each. There is no evil in any of them unless you consider HE ..WHO..MUST...NOT....BE...NAMED. This book is about death, and how to overcome obstiacales, and finding love in everything. Now how can a church or whoever find evil in all of the good morals in the book. Jk gets kids to read, when they would normally be watching tv. She gives hope to people to belive that there could be witches and wizards in this world and that you have to have faith. She also makes peole belive that anything could happen. Jk is not possessed by evil spirts and harry potter isn't evil. Go look at a hp fan site or something like that instead of the nonsence of that site. Heres a site that is easy to get addicted to hswcw.com have fun!

The author of those abominations is a witch. By her own admission... In the early days of the works she openly admited that the demon names and spells and other practices in the book were real and used to work with the forces of evil... though she did not call it evil of course... That kind of talk was quickly covered up and nolonger used when the sales started goiing up... and after the movie took off it is deliberatly not mentioned and has been, as best they could, made very difficult to find the origins of the work... but I would think any one with some more net search savy than me could still find the early referance and bio info on the author.

The Harry potter stuff is witchcraft 101... very few of those who are dabeling in wicca and such actualy know the truth of what they are flirting with... There and however a few "witches who actualy do use the forces of evil and are able to do evil through their conection with the darker forces...And Harry potter stuff is a good example of what the basic indoctrination is... soften up by making it seem "fun" and exciting... then lead them into lower and lower levels...weeding out those who are not acceptable at each level.. keeping them ignorent of the truth of further levels..

No I don't believe that someone with such a wonderful imagination is evil. All that she writes is always good against evil and the evil looses. Some people just get jealous because she has made it big in Hollywood with her books. I think they are harmless and I enjoy them very much and so do my grandchildren. They have yet to grow tails and run through the forest calling on S****. If they think she is evil they should try looking at the Senators, now some of them is what I call evil, big time.

IdahoMIke: How about showing us some proof of that?

I don't know about that but my sons have read all of the Harry Potter books so far and I see nothing wrong with them. No more than The Lord of The Rings or The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

I am a Christian and I love Harry Potter, a story of great courage in the face of evil, unbreakable friendships, and a child trying to find himself in a horrible world. A great way to put reality into a story kids will relate to and understand and be interested in, no I do not think she is possessed by evil spirits, and I think it is really sad that people can't use their imagination to get a really great story out. I think she is wonderful and should continue to write such wonderful stories for as long as she wishes....

Unfortunately some Christians are very narrow minded and do think this. I am a Christian and have a bit more common sense than that! I have to say that I am thoroughly ashamed of my fellow Christians sometimes. The Harry Potter books encourage kids to read, they are well written and promote the values of courage and friendship. I have to say most of the idiots who think that haven't actually read the books themselves.

Yes, I know of Christians who think the whole Harry Potter thing is evil because of the magic/sorcery elements involved in the content, so that does not surprise me that "whynotaskdon" is against Harry Potter...

I am just glad to see that the author of Harry Potter, a single mom, found her talent and is no longer living in poverty. Maybe they are jealous.
