I too would say dynamic tension but you may need to know what that is.
Basically, if you want to strengthen just your arms, you pit the muscle groups in one arm against the opposing muscle groups in the other.
Not very clear.
Try this:
Put your arms out in front of you with the elbows slightly bent and your hands at chest height.
Makes fists and put the right fist above the left fist.
Press them hard against each other - relax - do it again.
Repeat as many times as you like.
Reverse the action - left fist above the right.
This pitting muscle groups against each other is called 'dynamic tension' first advocated, I think, by Charles Atlas in the 30's or 40's.
Having got the 'feel' of this you will be able to work out the variations.
Try moving your arms while under tension - up and down, side to side, toward and away from you.
Lock you hands together and pull instead of push.
You get the idea.
This was claimed to be better than weights because it is very difficult to overstrain yourself. You can only push as hard as you can pull, etc.
You will be able to feel exactly what is happening to your muscles and you will find out more about the way the groups work than by using weights.

Strength exercising requires many repetitions of lighter weights to increase the size of the slow twitch muscles. Size exercising requires few repetitions of heavy weights to increase the size of the fast twitch muscles, like bodybuilders do. Sounds like you want many/lighter, but your muscles won't get appreciably larger, just more definition.

barbell curls, chin ups (with weights if you're strong enough,) and dips (again with weights if you can do more than 10 without weights)
