Would there be more or less anti-immigration if the immigrants were black?

Aren't you the same person in the "hey colored people" thread that said that the asker is the "typical profile" of someone against anti-immigration? Bullsh*t.

Half of my family is black, and I would still be anti-ILLEGAL immigration if the illegals were all black. I do not support lawbreakers, and these lawbreakers (poor victims of their homeland or not) are disrespecting American laws, and LEGAL immigrants.

It's bad enough that those who support illegal immigration try (poorly) to paint Americans (like me) who want respect for our immigration laws as racists. It's even worse when illegal immigration supporters try to use the civil rights movement, (which there is no comparison) or insenuate that there would be a different reaction for different race groups.

There is wide gaping hole in the pro-illegal argument (that this is about race). Those who are against ILLEGAL immigration are made up of white, black, asian, native american, arabic, AND LATINO Americans. It doesn't matter what race is the illegal is, if you disrespect our laws, you need to be deported.

I don't care what race they are or what color they are. If they are coming in illegally, not learning English and still expecting everyone to give them everything for free, round them up and ship them out.

The whole anti-immigration arguement has absolutely nothing to do with race. Its the fact that people think that they can come over the border into the United States without going through the proper channels and still have everything handed to them.

Many immigrants are black. Lots of people come from different countries in sub-saharan Africa. One interesting factoid for you, though. If you come on a boat illegally from Cuba, they let you in and give you legal status. If you come on a boat illegally from Haiti, they throw you in jail. That is written in the law. Many people believe that race has alot to do with that. But on the other hand, many Cubans are black.......

I guess the answer to that question is can't say.........

If it was the same amount of illegal immigrants It wouldn't matter what color they are you'd get the same reaction.

Maybe if they were black they could still play the race card and get away with illegal immigration.

If they were white we would probably not allot such an abusive prolific illegal activity.

No one has a problem with immigration, regardless of race. Everyone SHOULD have a problem with illegal immigration, again regardless of race. Is there some reason you want to play the race card?

No, I don't care where people come from. If they don't pay taxes, but the government still hands out stuff to them I say send them back. I worked at a grocery store in college, and you would be surprised how may immigrants received food stamps. I saw on more that one occasion where they received over $1,000.00 in food stamps. But a girl who worked with me was taking care of her 80 something year old grandmother (and having to pay for her meds), paying for college and helping raise her sister's kid (she was in Iraq at the time) and she was told she was only able to receive $10.00 in food stamps. How is that fair??
