when i was younger, i had long hair hippy style followed hawkwind etc, police used to stop me to look for dope i fitted the profile (so i hid it well Lol) I see a man with a shaved head walking towards me with tatoo's on his forehead doc martens, good chance he is a skinhead or a football holligan, if you were irish before when the IRA was at its peak, you were viewed as a potential terrorist, while i dont think it fair to pick on a race fact is majority of terrorist act carried out in recent years have been male muslims. I think the liberals are taking it to far check the people that fit the profile course there will mistake, but the the police work with what they know. What do you think fair or not

Profiling is nothing new. The police and other agencies have been doing it for years. The fact that it is spoken about so much, now it is in the public domain, is why the bleeding heart liberal brigade are up in arms about it.!

Profiling is just one method used in the fight against terrorism. Intelligence and source information are others that are used, but there is no doubt that profiling is a great asset to be used.

Unfortunately, young Asian men are the result of the profile for the current trouble. If you fall into this category, you can expect to be stopped and questioned, if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, so to speak. Why is that wrong?

It would be pointless stopping me for example: a middle aged white man....What would be the point?? Likewise, an elderly Asian man. No point at all.

Profiling is here to stay. Innocent people have nothing to fear from it. The rest of society will be a safer place because of it, if it is used properly!!

Because the left wing/liberal establishment, up to its eyeballs in PC and equality, is completely devoid of common sense. The 'Human Rights Act' is making fools out of all of us. You would think that Muslims would be only too happy to help, after all they are at risk as well. But if you can advance your cause by pretending to be offended, particularly when the Liberal establishment are only too happy to be offended on your behalf, then what do you expect. I, more than ever, am convinced that this government is nowhere near up to the job of running this country in a patriotic and sensible way, quite the opposite, it is deliberately destroying it.

Fair enough, profile of someone is the only effective way to search through potential suspects, a wrongful arrest should be followed by an apology

Surely in a situation where you are looking out for terrorists you should be suspecting everyone. Profiling per se doesn't work. The shoe -bomber didn't fit a profile and he managed to get through security and get airborne.

Works everywhere else... Its a new world and safety should be a priority.. An Iranian friend of mine wasn't stopped in the airport . He couldn't believe it when an old lady was search instead..
Even he thinks we're crazy for not profiling !!! Oh yea.. he is an American citizen .

i comprehend he's having arguements with action picture star website tmz. They called Beyonce's guess outfit "Roboho" and he has stated that he thinks this is racist, inspite of the certainty that they have called countless action picture star clothing undesirable names. this is stupid yet I guess he's loving the attention.

That sounds far too sensible for any government department to think about.

Because it's a blatant constitutional violation when done through enacted law.

Because just cause someone looks a certain way doesn't mean they act like other people who look that way act.

Make sense?
