I have two 8 oz. blocks of cream cheese, and I'm looking for a dessert recipe that calls for them. I love www.allrecipes.com, but I'm looking for something "tried and true." I've made a few recipes from websites (even though the recipes received a high rating/review) that weren't what my husband and I considered a "keeper." Can anyone help? I have the basic baking/cooking ingredients: white and brown sugar, eggs, butter, most spices, a few chocolate chips, etc.

This is one of my family favorites.....It puts an aroma through out the house!!!!! It's fantastic

Cream Cheese Delight

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, at room temperature (I use 1/3 less fat)
2 (8 ounce) packages crescent roll dough (I use the low-fat kind)
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Grease 9x13 pan.
Preheat oven to 350.
Spread one can of crescent dough on bottom of pan.
Mix softened cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar and vanilla until smooth, and spread on top of crescent dough.
Spread 2nd can of dough on top of cheese mixture. Be careful not to leave too many gaps in dough.
Pour melted butter all over crescent dough.
Mix 1/2 cup sugar with 1 teaspoons of cinnamon. Spinkle on top of butter. Use all of it -- it looks like a lot, but it's just right.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Allow to cool before cutting.
Serve with coffee, milk, or ice cream!
15-20 servings

You can make an Easy Lemon Pie.

1 8 oz. block of cream cheese
1 cup of milk
1 lemon (only for zest)
1 8 oz. tub cool whip (divided in halves)
1 package of lemon jello pudding mix
1 graham cracker crust

In a large bowl add cream cheese, milk, pudding mix, and lemon zest. Mix until cream cheese is smooth. Then add one half of cool whip. Mix until well blended.

Add mixture to pie crust and top with remaining cool whip. Refrigerate until firm. The recipe says 4 hours but about 3 is good for me.

It's easy and it tastes great.

how about cheesecake? If you like cheescake a little creamy, not real cheesy here is the best!! I don't like cheesecake, but love this one.

Cheesecake

Crust
•2 cups gragham cracker crumbs
•¼ cup sugar
•6 TBL melted butter

Combine dry ingredients well, then mix in melted butter.
Lightly coat bottom and sides of springform pan with non stick cooking spray.
Pour crumbs into pan and using bottom of a measuring cup press crumbs down into base and 1 inch up sides. Refrigerate while preparing filling.

Filling
Preheat oven to 325º.
•1 pound cream cheese at room temperature
•3 eggs
•1 cup sugar
•1 pint sour cream
•A dash of vanilla extract
Beat cream cheese on low for 1 min until smooth and free of lumps. Add eggs, 1 at a time, and continue to beat slowly until combined. Gradually add sugar and beat until creamy. (1-2 mins) Add sour cream and vanilla. Scrape sides occasionally. Mix well but do not overbeat. Pour filling into prepared crust-lined pan and smooth out top.
Set cheescake pan on a large piece of aluminum foil and fold sides up around it. (x2)
Place in roasting pan and fill ½ way up pan with hot tap water. Bake for 1 hour – 1hour & 15 minutes. Cheesecake should still jiggle. Remove from oven and let cool in pan for 30 mins. Chill in refrigerator loosely covered for at least 4 hours. Remove from springform pan to serve.

May be served with any topping:
Lemon Blueberry
Happy Strawberries
Caramel
Chocolate
etc

I've been making a sour cream-topped cheesecake for years, but don't have the recipe with me. This one found on the Kraft Foods website sounds very much like what I make, so I'd go with it! Even without sour cream topping (if you don't have any) it would be good.

If you have canned biscuits, powder sugar and cream cheese you could make donuts.Soften the cream cheese and add powder sugar ,mix well.Put a hole in the middle of the biscuits and deepfry.Drizzle the icing over them.Try it---it's good.

Banana & Cream Cheese Crepes

Ingredients:
Crepes

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
3 eggs
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

Fillings

1 orange
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 bananas
Chocolate-flavored syrup

Directions:
1. In Small Batter Bowl, combine flour and salt. Add milk, eggs and butter, whisking until smooth using Stainless Steel Whisk.

2. Lightly spray Small Saute Pan with vegetable oil using Kitchen Spritzer. Heat pan over medium heat until hot. For each crepe, pour a scant 1/4 cup batter into pan. Immediately tilt pan so uncooked portions flow to open areas of pan. Cook about 30 seconds or until lightly browned. Loosen edge of crepe with Classic Scraper; turn and continue cooking until lightly browned. Stack crepes between sheets of wax paper until ready to use.

3. Zest orange with Lemon Zester/Scorer to measure 1 tablespoon zest. Juice orange using Juicer to measure 3 tablespoons juice. Beat cream cheese and zest. Beat whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff. Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture.

4. When ready to serve, cut bananas in half crosswise; cut each half lengthwise into 1/4-inch strips. Toss bananas in orange juice. For each crepe, place about 1/3 cup banana mixture in center of crepe. Top with 1/4 cup cream cheese mixture; fold sides over cream cheese mixture. Drizzle with chocolate-flavored syrup.
