Don't expect it to be like elementary school. The middle school I went to was attended by kids from other neighborhoods who went to other elementary schools. It was a shock because I wasn't prepared for that. Whereas you were pretty familiar with your classmates and teachers in your elementary school from years of going there, you'll be exposed to new people who may or may not want to get to know you.
My advice when it comes to establishing friendships at middle school...
1) Be yourself
2) Give everyone new you meet three strikes, you never know what is going through a person's mind at the time you first meet them, maybe they're going through something personal at the time. If by the third time that person is not friendly to you, forget about him or her...they're not worth your time.
3) If you want to develop a rep in middle school, develop a rep for being smart and sociable. It appeals to both teachers and students.

Have Fun!
1. Join a sport or a club
2. Go to the sporting events and cheer on your team
3. Go to the dances, if you don't have a date, go with a large group of friends.
This is the year that they start teaching you to take more responsibility for your homework and assignments.
1. write the assignments down so you don't forget them
2. get your assignments in on time
Be true to yourself and who you are but don't be afraid to move outside of your comfort zone and make new friends,,,,,,,,,,

Some teachers won't let you go to the bathroom during there classes and get to school early and make sure you listen to the teacher outline for there classes because they change there rules all the time.I had one teacher oh I HATED HER she would not allow you do your home work in pencil and if you did you would need to do it all over again.

in basic terms forget approximately it, it rather is 3 months away. center college is elementary. The trick is in basic terms take each and every thing one step at a time. They make it look like it rather is going to be plenty artwork, yet rather it rather is not. For now in basic terms take exhilaration on your summer season. while the time comes for college then you certainly can concern approximately it, yet rather you would be irritating for no longer something. it rather is elementary. it rather is not all that diverse then uncomplicated college. the terrific suggestion for center college is know who your human beings are via fact center college is while the main drama is. As for the artwork, there is not any longer something to be frightened approximately so in basic terms have exciting at the same time as summer season lasts via fact come wintry climate you will desire it replaced into summer season lower back. sturdy luck.

remember this and you'll be fine. Anybody who starts anything with you is just jealous. dont worry about jerks, female or male. If you do date, dont have sex with anyone, hold onto your virginity. Dont put up with crappy friends who are rude.
your reputation is very valuable. dont let people think youre a slut b/c that is not cool. some girls are okay with being called a ho b/c it makes them seem "desirable" but it really doesnt. value your reputation. what im saying is dont support people calling you a ho. dont worry about stupid gossip, but dont try to be anything for anyone. middle school, as my aunt says, is kinda like puppies rolling around, everyones just biting and playing with each other and its easy to get hurt.
so here you go:
dont worry about gossip/cliques
just be yourself-dont spend a fortune on brand name clothes, youre just gonna grow out of them. wear what you like.
Dont have sex yet. You will know when you are ready.
if you attend boy/girl parties, remember this:play hard to get with boys. my aunt always told me, make your kisses like gold. make him respect you. You choose the guys you attract. if you act trashy you get trashy guys, if you act like a lady, you'll get nice guys.
very very very very very valuable tip: the nerdy guys you go to school with will eventually be very gorgeous and cool. dont judge by appearance...go by whats on the inside...
and one more thing. your weight. i weighted 120 lbs at thirteen. I was in a B cup. I thought i was fat, and therefore i gained a lot of weight. You have to learn to like what you look like, b/c its what God gave you! i wasnt fat. and girls today are developing very quickly and you may become voluptous quickly. you are not fat. just developing.
good luck honey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sit with the popular looking kids on the first day. 1st year of middle school is where you establish your "group"of friends and stuff.

Just be yourself!
The popular people can`t put you down.
There is no such thing as the "populars"
If there is, then as far as I`m concerned,
it should be everyone.
Stay close to friends,
and learn from your mistakes.
Don`t worry about them.
And talking things out helps alot.

It's really not bad at all. Just be confident, and know who the real you is. You'll make new friends and you'll do fine.
