My 5 year old male pug keeps coughing and gaging. He acts like he wants to throw up...but he never has. Is he sick?? What could it be? He also has some crud type stuff on the top of his nose. It's the color of his nose..but it just looks cruddy and bumpy. He licks his nose all the time. It's always just a little runny...but not much. Is this normal? Should I take him to the vet??

Not sure what it is but he may have eaten something he shouldnt have..(my nieces dog ate a centipede and had same symptoms..If she wouldnt have taken it to vet, he said it would have died)...It maybe nothing but the longer u wait the worse it can get and the more expensive it can be to treat him..

These bumps could also be in his throat and nasal passage. Take him to the vet asap.

Might have kennel cough. My dog had it and nearly died. He needs to be seen for this.
