My recipe is closest to Zoe's - yes, oval shaped - but no cinamon please
But all the recipes left out the most important ingredient.
My greek mother-in-law always put either a big spash of ouzo in her keftedthes or as an alternative, a half can of beer. She was the greatest cook I ever knew. Today, there is very little to brag about concerning my cooking..... except for my keftedthes!!!!

1lb minced meat
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 slices of stale bread, made into breadcrumbs
chopped parsley
1 egg
1 tsp dried mint, optional
½ tsp ground cinnamon, optional
salt and pepper

Method
Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and knead. Allow standing for 20 minutes.
Make small balls or large oval meatballs and fry in hot oil on medium heat on both sides until the meat is cooked.
Serve the large meatballs hot with rice or the small ones cold as a meze
