I get angry at a LOT of things. The smallest thing could trigger me into a effing fit! and i'm tired of it.

For example, I bought a pair of jeans the other day and when i got home, they didn't fit right! They were WAY too tight and pushed on my lower abdomen where it makes it look like my damn stomach buldges out!!!

And i had a FIT

On MyYearbook.com, a website like Myspace, someone voted for Me as 'biggest suckup' and i got infuriated. I am pretty sure who it is and am going to get them back if it's the last thing i do.

i am 13 years old. i am not "mentally unstable", depending on your definition of that phrase...

please help me control my anger. it's ruining my life!

Wow, that's alot of anger there. The pants thing is easy, try them on next time before you buy. I think you might not be so much "mentally unstable", as you are a teenager. You should talk to your school counselor or your parents about this issue. And when you say fit, do you mean throwing things, or just stomping your feet in a temper tantrum? People do get angry all of the time, you just need to learn to control your outbursts. Sounds to me like you are just a normal 13 year old girl. But I would still talk to someone. Good luck

You need to talk to someone, a counselor at school perhaps..Or find an outlet for your anger, go for a run, learn to play an instrument, find a hobby that you enjoy and direct your anger into something positive. Think of what you could accomplish if you did. Did you try and figure out what you're REALLY angry about? Is it because someone said this or that about you or is it really because your'e mad at one of your parents for something and taking it out on someone else? Think about it, and if it is someone or something else, resolve that issue. You have your whole life ahead of you and you've already taken the first step to fixing your problem by identifying it. Good for you! Good luck.

Take an anger management class--I'm sure you could ask your school counselor for some ideas on where to turn.

Also try deep breathing when you get angry; studies have proved that it helps calm you down. Sounds cheesy, but it DOES work.

A lot of people have problems controlling their anger. Sometimes me too, though for me it is usually controlling feeling upset. But I think the only "cure" is to realize that each and every time you get angry, it is because you chose to and allowed yourself to. You and only you have control over your behavior, and no matter what instant in time you pick, in that particular instant it is you and you alone who can say "in this moment I will not be angry...I will just peacefully observe all these crazy thoughts in my head without judging or acting them out". Of course, you won't always succeed, but you have to keep trying. It is a matter of always living in the present moment. In THIS moment I can choose not to be angry. And in THIS one. And in THIS one. Only you can do it for you.

Immediately freeze and count slowly to ten (or whatever number works for you), when you feel it boiling up, to let the hormones subside and give the rational side of you (that asked this question) a chance to keep control.

You must realize that your anger stems from the feeling that you are superior to others (or better than them), and, therefore, feel you have the right to "judge" others. When you realize that this is not true, your anger will miraculously disappear!

Welcome to adolescence. You're probably going to be angry for a long time. You're going to experience a lot of things. Within 10 years you will more than likely have changed more times than you can imagine.

ha ha ha....13.
