Why did I get two thumbs down for asking this question? I'm from the south and when you say interracial dating people automatically think black/white. I just wanted to see how others from different parts of our world looked at interracial dating. My current relationship would be considered interracial...I'm white and my old man is puerto rican....

I guess it's kinda stereotypical.
There are just a few really well known stereotypes like black man/white woman.. black man/asian woman.. white man/asian woman.

I think of a white girl and a black man, why, because its common where I live. I dont think anything is wrong with it, because when it really comes down to it, we're the same, all of us. I do however have a problem when a black man, or whomever is in the interracial relationship, thinks that their partner of the opposite race is superior, like some black men wont date black women, and vice versa, this is SOOOO wrong. As a black woman I've connected with several different ethnicities, and I can tell u that a good, cool genuine, awesome person comes in all shades.

The first thing that came to my mind was my wonderful boyfriend who is from Kenya. But after reading some of the responses, I will say that I fit the stereotype, white woman, black man.
Interracial dating is just dating. It all depends on how you feel anyway, not about what other people think or what you look like.

I do not think interracial dating should even be an issue. The stereotypical definition is that of a white woman and black man. But there are many diversions to consider. white-alaskan-white-egyptian, This sequence could go on forever. Bottom line is this. Are you where you want to be? and if so, the color you look at does not matter. It is about who the other person is, not what color of skin they have or what shape their eyes are

Black & white, naturally. Me dating an African-American woman.
Then my dating of a Japanese woman, but this comes as an afterthought. Latinas I think of being "interracial' only if they are Afro-Latina, or heavily Indian, or Asian-Latina. I find many women just described, exquisitly beautiful. That's the most honest answer I can give.

Any configuration where man and woman are not of the same skin color, as in:
Black / White
Asian / Black
White / Asian
Some will split hairs over, for instance, Japanese & Chinese, but I don't classify this as "interracial".

Well, on porn sites it means black and white persons. I personally think it's pretty much any two races "dating." No big deal. Hard enough finding someone you click with to worry about labels,
