Press down and hold the Shift key while you insert the CD.
Hold Shift down until all lights stop flashing.
Open My Computer
double-click the drive of the CD to display the contents

You can select the pictures and cut or copy, then paste into My Pictures or a new folder which you will have created just for those pictures.

This is as far as I can go without knowing what kind of software you have and what file extensions it will accept.

I have Jasc Paint Shop Pro.
I would open the picture in JPSP and, if it were not already in jpg format, I would "save as" or "export as" a jpg.

Hope this helps.

This is a basic situation unless the CD has some kind of block on it. All you have to do is insert the CD into the computer and it usually has an AUTO RUN that lets you choose what you want to do. If not, then you can open My Computer. From there, right click on the CD icon and click Open. Then open a folder where you want the files to be transferred, select the ones you need and drag them to the new folder. It's as simple as it sounds. Good luck.
