Saturday I navigated in a road rally -- my first time in the right seat. Lots of fun, great roads, amazing scenery, and we were doing really well till the next to the last leg when I blew ONE instruction and maxed the leg. We ended up out of the trophies, especially disappointing because if we'd matched our average score on that one leg we would have been first in class. And that, as they say, is why rally is a sport, and not a game.
Sunday I let my wife sleep late (she's been having health issues that have interrupted her sleep for the past three months, though we may have turned the corner on them -- think good thoughts), so I took our son out to our favorite coffee house for raspberry scones, an iced Mexican mocha (coffee, chocolate and cinnamon, his favorite) and a game of chess. He beat me, fair and square -- as with the rally, because I made one mistake, but he won the game because of it! When we got back, my wife was up so we woke big sister and all went out to see "Monster House" -- great movie. Look for all the throwaway references to other horror/thriller movies.
Sunday night, my wife let me know how much she appreciated me for letting her sleep late that morning. If you look up some of my previous answers on the subject of how to make sure a woman can be satisfied during intercourse, you ought to be able to get a pretty fair idea of how the evening went. :-)

first, that's an AWESOME pic! (i fell off my chair laughing)
second, sadly no. all my friends had plans so i rented some Japanese horror flix, got a bottle of rum, and played a drinking game (yes, alone... which saved me the embarrassment of having other people see me walk into walls at night).
