I had the same problem. What I do is when I take a shower and wash my hair, I leave the conditioner for 3-5 minutes. When towel-drying it don't shake it as if you were making hot chocolate. Just wrap around and press on it. After your hair is not dripping water anymore put a leave-in conditioner, or hydrating treatment and a frizz control tratment which you can buy at any supermarket. Once you do this, untangle your hair with a comb and NOT a brush. Now you can blowdry your hair without leaving the blowdrier in the same spot for long. Your can use a brush while blowdrying it, but it is not necessary (even if when you do so your hair looks like a lion's).Once your hair is dried, take your hair in pieces from the back of your hair to the front and pass the flat iron (a ceramic one would be WAY BETTER) while you pass a really thin comb. Make sure you pass the comb first and flat iron following right behind it. This should work. I also suggest you put hydrating treatment on your hair at least twice a month. AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!

I use RUSK STR8 - it is an awesome product. You just comb it into your hair when it is still wet and then blow it out or flat iron it.

This product works so well that I can put it in my very curly hair when it's wet and comb it in and let it air dry, and it takes most of the curl out without any extra work. It is just a little wavy. But when I do take the time to straighten it with a blow dryer it stays straight!

The key is to make sure you get your hair COMPLETELY dry when you are styling it before you go out. If there is any moisture you are going to get a wave during the day. If it is a humid day it will happen too though. The effect will be less though if you use something like Rusk Str8. (Target sells it for about $8)

Also blowdrying your hair will be more lasting and less damaging to your hair than a flat iron long term. You are burning your hair when you use an iron on it. Try not to straighten your hair every day so it gets a break too. Many people find curly hair exotic, attractive, and beautiful.

OMG I got this new product this weekend. It's by Herbal Essences it's called 'Straighten Up' or something like that, it's in a pink bottle with a green cap. You spritz it on a section of hair before you run the straightner over it, and it keeps it pin straight all day! It's my new fave product!!

Frutis has this stuff called surfer hair. Use your straight iron. spray in a hair shinner. Not to much it will look oily.( only from your ear down apply it) then get the surfer hair product and evenly put it on ( keep away from the roots of your hair) This should help your problems

I have the same problem... It's a little weird but try John Freida's straight answer spray. I spray a little on my tips after I straighten my hair and then comb it out. I think you're supposed to put the stuff on your hair wet and then blowdry but I grabbed it accidently one day and used it for this ever since.

Try blow drying it straight. This lasts longer than a flat iron. You could also get it straightened at a salon, but they put chemicals into your hair that make it stiff and may damage it.

You can go to the salon and ask them to permanently straighten your hair. It's like a perm when you get those curls, except they straighten it out instead of curling it. I've heard most people are satisfied. When it starts to grow out, it will be normal texture though, so it doesn't last forever, but it does last a long time and it won't dry your hair out from trying to straighten it everyday with hot products.

well, if your hair get damp at all or if you sweat...(its summer sometimes that happens and even the heat can curl your hair because heat has a lot of moisture) but sometimes i put on a cream in my hair to keep it straight...its not a straightening cream but it keeps it from frizzing and getting curly again...i use either Frizz-ease Wind-down relaxing creme (step four....you don't need all the steps unless you want to but i don't think it does much) i use the one in the purple bottle i think they come in white too but purple works better....or i use Dove soft smooth and soft anti-frizz creme weightless moisturizers they both work great but the frizz-ease one is for more flat hair too but i recommend both they work like a charm!!! for more info e-mail me

fix your hair in a wavy style.
When I was in school my hair was naturally curly and I hated it. Then one day a girl said she wished she had hair like mine because it took so long to get curls in her's.
I realized the grass isn't always greener the other way. So be the best with what you have.
