Isn't it cute to see their little paws stretching through that little space on the bottom of the door? Oh I love it. Cats are curious by nature and very playful so having a door closed and some room where they can stick their paws in sounds like fun for them. My cats like to drink the water that drips from the bathtub, it is so cute, I just hope they never quit doing it because I love to watch them!

My cats do that too. I don't understand it! They like to wait for me outside the bathroom and stick their paws under the door, or if I go in there to put things away they come in and sit on the edge of the tub and watch me. I'm sure they're thinking "She does things weird. Why does she have a door on her potty and we don't?" Of course, my cats go potty together too, so they aren't exactly normal.

MY cats ALL have this fascination with the bathroom. Some are fascinated with the water running out of the faucet, some are fascinated with the toilet flushing, I even have ONE who seems to have some sort of "toilet paper fetish".
For some reason, they all love to hang out in the bathroom even if no one is in there. I think this may stem from the fact that their litter box is in there, AND their water bowl also.
If someone goes in there, MY cats will stick their paws under the door and open it! (LOL)

Cats hate closed doors. They assume if you go into a room, and close the door, there is an escape pod somewhere and they will never see you again. They will be at your side in any room you are in, so why not the bathroom?

good question.... my cats do that too LOL.
actually when a cat sticks there paws under the door its there way of letting you know they are there and want to be with you. I am guessing your cat follows you around the house as well. strange huh?

I wish I knew. My cats do the same thing and I have talked to others that say the same. My cat like to jump on my lap while I am in the bathroom.

Your guess is as good as mine. I have two kittens that love to follow me into the bathroom every morning when I'm getting in the shower for work. They hate it when I close the door on them though, irregardless of whether they are in the bathroom with me or not.

Be glad that is all your cat does in the bathroom. I have a cat that when I am using the toliet he likes to "use" the bathtub. I am always having to bleach my bathtub. If I put water in the tub so he doesn't go in there, he goes in the sink. He is litter trained. the times I am not home he goes in the litter box. If I could only train him to go in the toliet!!!

This morning I was taking a shower and there was this BANGING on the bathroom door. It was my kitten throwing herself at the door. I have no idea why. I guess they are curious about the sound of the water, etc.
