Christianity and Catholicism aren't even the same religion, let alone the same "domination" (though I think you meant denomination)

Christians believe the Bible is the word of God.
Catholics believe the Pope is the mouthpiece of God.

That doesn't sound the same to me, does it to you?

Christians beleive Jesus is our high priest.
Catholics believe men are their priests.

The Bible says call no man father upon the earth.
Catholics call a priest ordained of men "father".

Christians believe salvation is by Gods grace through faith.
Catholics never presume that they are saved, but must hope they have attended mass enough, have performed the 7 sacraments enough have given money to the church enough and hope that they receive enough prayers from the living after they're dead, and maybe their time in purgatory won't be so long or so bad.

Catholics say they are Christians, because they don't understand that they are two different belief systems.
Christians never say they're Catholics even when they don't understand the difference.

this question continuously amuses the hell out of me. till Henry VIII (Anglican) and Martin Luther (Lutheran, then some 30,000 different sects, and counting) got here alongside, the Orthodox and Catholic church homes were the Christians. there have been no others. Catholics = Christians for 2000 years. Protestants = Christians for approximately 500 years. And the basically distinction between the Catholic (unique) bible and the protestant bible(s) of their distinct translations is that Martin Luther threw out most of the books the catholics had desirous to be the "inspired comprehend God" decrease back in the Council of Nicea in the 4th century. All protestant bibles are derived from this unique source. i'm no longer even going to the contact the "what catholics do isn't in the bible" one. The Trinity isn't in the bible. "unique Sin" isn't in the bible, that became invented through Augustine (a catholic theologian) in the 4th-fifth century. The Rapture isn't in the bible. The bible obviously states Jesus is the "son" of "god" in some places, that is declared that the bible also says Jesus IS "god" in different places and the protestants are nevertheless battling over that. this isn't a protection of the catholics, through the way. i'm agnostic, i imagine all you adult adult males are battling over an excellent form of made-up stuff without data. yet, in case you'll wrestle among yourselves, please a minimum of attempt to get your historic data instantly and your dogmas properly talked about as to source. in the different case, you basically make yourselves seem ridiculous. advantages on your journey!

Most Christians beleive what the Bible says when it states that there is only way to the Father and that is Jesus Christ. Now some Catholics beleive we should pray to Mary or other saints. This is not scriptual. It seems the Catholic Church tries to put itself in the position of being the advocate with the father. Most protestants beleive we can all come boldly to God because of the sacrifice of his son.

The usual sense of the word "denomination" separates Catholics from other denominations such as Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Methodists, Seventh-Day Adventists, Mormons, etc etc. etc.

Unfortunately, there are Christians out there who think that we Catholics aren't really Christians, and that is sad.

They think we worship Mary (we don't), worship statues and images (we don't), are mistaken in believing in purgatory (though it's mentioned quite plainly in the Bible), and so on.

Many of these folks "know" things about Catholicism that just aren't true. I've read some of their ideas on Catholicism -- and they are so misinformed and off-base that it isn't funny.

We look at things differently. I really don't know much about Catholics but I hear a lot of bad things about their priest. I don't associate myself with anything that is an abomination to my Father.

They aren't the same denomination at all... they aren't even the same religion...

Christianity and Catholicism are almost polar opposites... perhaps you should study the differences and then come back and ask a more intelligent question
