Your cat is about as aged as a human in its middle to late twenties.
Human and feline age comparisons are not strictly linear, since cats develop very quickly in the first couple years of their lives compared to humans. After the first two years their development slows and we can compare ages in a more linear manner.
As the chart below shows, a one year old cat is already well into adolescence, about equal to a human at age fifteen. By their first birthday cats are are sexually mature and able to breed, and have been for a while already, but they're usually not mature enough or emotionally ready for effective parenthood. They're not yet fully grown but are approaching adult size and have taken on adult proportions.
By age two a cat is comparable to a human of about twenty-three or twenty-four, established in young adulthood, and by their second birthday most cats have attained their full growth, though some toms may still have a bit of growing to do.
After age two, cats age about four times as fast as humans.
The chart shows that a cat at age ten is about equivalent to a human at age fifty-five, the ages at which they and we have traditionally been considered "seniors" of our species. At age fourteen a cat is about as aged as a human of age seventy-one, so at age fourteen years and three months a cat would be about equal to a human at seventy-two. A few decades ago, fourteen and seventy-two were considered the normal life expectancies for cats and humans.
At twenty, a cat is about as aged as a human of ninty-five. Few make it that far, but those who do are still within the normal range of their species.
