It's always best to try and give your horse a name that relates to his pedigree, or at least something original. For example, one of the best named racehorses I know of is CLOG DANCE (by Woodman out of Royal Fandango). Another clever name is SINGSPIEL (by In the Wings out of Glorious Song) - for those of you that don't know, a Singspiel is a type of opera where there is both singing and speaking.
As a point, you cannot give a horse a name that could confuse the racecourse officials. So no Photo Finish, Weighed In, of They're Off!
Try a little imagination people, it keeps us racing folk from getting bored!

We have always tried to name ours something to do with the sire and dam ofthe horse.
But when that does not work we have just picked names.
One was Geenyite stood for Green Light named by the two year old son of the owner.
I own Leo named Louse bad name for a race horse but I have heard worse. One girl has one that was called Chicken Lips.

I love your Avatar. I have a parakeet that looks just like him. Anyway, I would name my racehorse Like the Wind, or Sweetness. I loved Walter Payton's nickname.
