Thanks for all the answers to my last question. But it was realy only meant for "UNKNOWN". I understand that we should show our christianity by showing Love but, we shouldnt let the devil win by keeping our mouths shut when christians are being bashed. Its hate...plain and simple. And we all know what happens when hate goes unchecked! Remember hitler!?

And I dont think this is a christin group and everyone here is a christian. But anyone can post a url. Thats all I did and unknown told me "This isnt a forum for christians and y'all are not my flock". But everyone who knows me knows that if they are in ear shot of me, they are going to hear the word of God! It may be something they want to hear or need to hear or dont want to hear but they will hear it just the same.

My group will offend only those who want nothing to do with God and bless all those who do!

How do you know anything is the word of God? The bible was written by men. And then re translated many more times by men. Does it contain any common sense at all to tell someone that God loves them but if you don't believe what I tell you to believe than you are not going to heaven. Why do you think you have the right to use the bible as justification to preach hatred and bigotry. Worse yet, you are teaching that hatred and bigotry to the children. Perpetuating the ignorance, like a persons sexuality is a choice as a good example.

Bless you for your committment.

If you are asked for you opinion or advice, kindly and politely give it but don't rebuke or but in where you are not invited. It is their beliefs and everyone is entitled to it, right or wrong.

Take comfort in the knowledge you have and belive to be right. If in fact you are the one that is more correct than the other guy, you will have the advantage of being right whether anyone but god knows it or not. Why create problems, God ask you to spread his word not be combatant about it. You might as well be a Jew or a Moslium not a christian.

What then is truth? A mobile army of metaphors, metonyms, and anthropomorphisms -- in short, a sum of human relations, which have been enhanced, transposed, and embellished poetically and rhetorically, and which after long use seem firm, canonical, and obligatory to a people: truths are illusions about which one has forgotten that is what they are; metaphors which are worn out and without sensuous power; coins which have lost their pictures and now matter only as metal, no longer as coins.
We still do not know where the urge for truth comes from; for as yet we have heard only of the obligation imposed by society that it should exist: to be truthful means using the customary metaphors - in moral terms, the obligation to lie according to fixed convention, to lie herd-like in a style obligatory for all...

Do you run in to a lot of non christians that are claiming to quote the word of god? I don't think so, thats what I came to your question to say but I see that the main question was just an excuse to allow you to rant and post your url so I guess I wasted my time. But ya know, non christians really don't give a crap what it is that you have to say so what you say means nothing to them....do you get it?

It's OK for u to disagree with anybody's point of view.

However I disagree strongly with ur view.

There is NO proof of a god, or heaven or hell.
These are myths created by HUMANS.

Do u know Hitler was backed by the Catholic church?

Do u know about the Inquisitions where millions were killed in the name of Christianity!!!

Please think, read, and learn before u jump to conclusions.

There is no point in arguing with a Christian (or Muslim, or ....). It is like playing chess with a pigeon, they knock over all the pieces, crap on the board and then go home to their flock and declare victory. BIBLE NAZI - A fundamentalist christian who thinks it is a violation of their rights if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down my throat

If what you are asking is whether you should correct a non-Christian, or anyone else for quoting something as scripture that isn't, well of course. The Bible is a book we can all check for what it does and doesn't say. What it means or doesn't mean is clearly debatable. What it says or doesn't say, within the limits of translational flexibility, can be proven.

You have the right to hold your own opinions and beliefs. Those belong to you, why do you think everyone has to believe what you do? Especially when much of it has no basis in reality. Since you mentioned Hitler, you know, he wanted everyone to be the same too... think about it.

It is not wrong to rebuke, but it sometimes is a waste of time.

Set your mind to doing what is good and right. Such as this is never a waste of time. Arguing with a "fencepost" is not necessarily productive or beneficial.
