i always knew that my dads best friend had gone to jail before but i didnt know the whole story until my step mom told me here it is...

one night my dad went out clubbing with his best friend while me a 3month old baby and my real mom were home asleep. he and his friend met this girl and my dad took her back to a hotel were he had sex with her and then left, she wanted him. then after that as my dad was leaving (his friend was in the room with the girl) he heard a scream but kept going. she was screaming because my dads friend was raping her.

how do i deal knowing this? there is no way i could talk to my dad about it and i mean i was at home with my mom when this happened...

I think you should leave it alone I'm sure your dad wouldn't feel comfortable talking to you about it. It's really none of your business. hopefully the girl did something about it.
I don't think it would be wise for you to get involved.

There's nothing you can do about this but let the adults in the situation handle it. If it's affecting you, personally (which it sounds like it is), talk to someone about it. A school counselor or a family doctor that may be able to send you to someone that deals with these things. Get some help with dealing with this. I couldn't imagine what you must be feeling, but I hope you take the steps to handle your feelings before it becomes too much.

Good luck.

First of all You say you stepmother told you the story, you don't know how exactly it is.
Second, whatever happened it's not something that can be remembered like that, the truth is always emerging, if something wrong happened sooner or later your father will pay, too.
Third, my advice is that you must follow your life and let him alone, it wasn't your mistake and maybe he's not guilty, maybe he didn't hear at all, your stepmom wasn't there, how does she know it.

That is a sad story. If you want closure on this one probley best you speak to your father, he is the only one that confirm/deny this. Hope all works out and you get the answers your looking for.

Although your dad was there, he wasn't the one who raped her......even still he should have called the police
But he was wrong to cheat on your mother....Although he did this I would give him a chance...talk to him and try hard to forgive him..He is your father and how do you know he doesn't kick himself everyday for what he did...Give him a chance

I do not believe I would want to speak to my dad about this. Don't judge your father on this event; judge him by the way he has been a father to you since birth. Leave this issue alone.

this is something that a counselor and you need to discuss. this is something that's upsetting your and affecting you that needs to be dealt w/ by a professional especially being that the subject is so sensitive. or if you can find the courage to talk to your dad tell him that this information greatly upsets you and it needs to be addressed.
