People say most of the world writes with their righthand and lefthanded people are a small amount, because being lefthanded is like a disability.I dont believe that because I am left handed,And I am not disabled. I have recieved honors in the past for my Reading/language arts.I love to draw and I am really good.My mother is an artist and she is right-handed,My father is left-handed. Some great people were left-handed.Why do lefties get put down like a oddball.?How come there are more righties,Is there really a difference?

Last time I looked, 11% of the population in the United States is Left-handed. Someone told me they think it has gone down to 8%. The majority of geniuses and artists are left-handed.

Here is an old saw with a new twist.

The right side of the brain controls the left side of the body.
The left side of the brain controls the right side of the body.
Left-handed people are in their right mind.
Right-handed people are in what's left of theirs.

Here is a cute site on left-handedness. Lots of interesting things to read: http://jackie.freeshell.org/woh/lefty.htm

Oddly enough, being right-handed was symbolic in religious terms. The meaning clearly got carried away when school teachers began forcing children to use their right hand. Of course, now we know better (most of us). More and more left-handers are seen today than in the past. I'm sure the number will continue to grow and eventually it might even surpass right-handers!

25% and 75% i guess! but i do believe that the percentage doesn't matter! as far as i know, it's wide accepted nowadays that there are people who really work best using their left-hand! you're right! there are great people who were left-handed! even some of my cousins are! i admit, their hand writing is far better than i am! they are excellent when it comes to their academic achievements!

there is no difference! my grandson is left handed & is no more disabled then the next guy. i have known many left handed people with beautiful penmenship. i am right handed & i think right handed people are just more common than left handed people. its like seeing a new car going down the street, with beautiful streamlined designed, & right behind it is an older car , lets say from the 60s. you look at it & the styling compared to the new one & you can see the difference in design, but they are both cars with 4 wheels,an engine, speed, & all. the only difference is the style. basically they are still the same.
