(Guys Only) Do any of you have a casual sex relationship..if so?

Question

How long has it lasted?
Are you emotionally connected with that person..care or love?
Do you intend on making a serious commitment in the future or have you already?
If it's such great sex how can you not commit? lol

Girls too, don't wanna leave ya out! BUT girls tend to have more emotional connection than guys do, that's why I wanted to ask the guys :)

I have had a casual sex friend and it lasted about 6 months. I cared about her very much but it was not the right time for either of us to commit. I never intended for it to be serious and before we became involved I let her know that I was not looking for a GF and she was OK with that. I do wonder about her every once and a while.

Unfortunately, guys are able to easier view sex as an activity versus an act of love. I say unfortunately because things may start out as casual and both parties in agreement with this, but after some time normally one party will want more. (the female) For me, if it is just about that, then that's all it is. No emotions need to be tied up and attached, no space for them. Females are more in sensitive and in touch with their feelings which is why they tend to want things to change over time. It is a very natural human emotion, why not want to be closer with someone who makes you feel good?

I have had casual sexual relations but it doesn't feel as good as when I find I have a strong emotional bond. For some guys, sex is simply a release of tension...and American guys (Americans, generally) are under lots of pressure. For others, it has to do with power. Some mindlessly and uncomplicatedly like variety. I'd say most guys DO commit. But society has allowed guys a release clause: commit, but if you have a mistress, we'll look away. And guys who are winners have mistresses.

I used to have them. The last one I had was two years ago and it lasted until I told her that I no longer wanted her. (she was in a relationship at the time and cheating on her boyfriend, so i felt it was ok to break up with her in that way) Since I was with her I realized that I casual sex no longer excites me at all. But it was always easy to break it off, no matter how good it was because the sex was meaningless. It was like having a great squash buddy you enjoy playing with. But if you find someone else who may not be so great at squash, but you enjoy playing with them more, then you change your partners.

In my opinion, sex is maybe 30% dependant on the other person's skill and 70% dependant on the feelings you have for the person. If the sex is *really* that great, it's because you love the person and it's not casual anymore.

I have had.
Lasted a short time.
Yeah, I cared about them but not in love with them. I'd never bonk someone I don't like.
I've found the only serious relationships I've had start out fairly serious.

Sex is one thing, dude, as you'll learn and love is another. Sometimes they both mesh; sometimes not.

Sometimes just casual sex, is jus that causal sex. someone to have sex with when you dont wnat to feel tied down. sometimes it is nice to have just guilt free, fun sex. and have it go now where.
