I was raised Christian Catholic, so it's hard wired into my brain, I don't pray and I pay no attention to the whole thing anymore, I dropped out of conformation because im ******* sixteen and I dont know if god and jesus are the same thing or not. When it comes to that stuff, i'm completely lost. So does this ignorance mean i'm going to hell?

What about this? I don't think I am terrible but i'm kind of a bad person. I have never had guilt about anything, and I love to laugh at the commercials for those Christian clubs. We make fun of the nuns at my church and laugh at people during mass and we are terrible but I have done that soup kitchen thing, I do work my *** off for other people, i'm generally a good person just not much of one of those perfect people that has never touched a joint or even a drink in my life.

If you're not religious, then why do you believe in nonsense like hell?

u know what i think parents forcing church creates a rebellious part in us. i was in a christian school from k-11th so i had church-like gathering every wednesday or friday. tell you that pushed me away from the religion. Church is a corrupt facility who is there to get your money. The bible doesnt say you have to attend church. it says you should have fellowship with other christians, and you can do that without going to church. apparently you give money to a homeless person they still expect you to give to the church. apparently they think God needs money? and im not really christian, but i believe God will decide where u go by the life you lead. i dont think your going to hell for NOT going to church (remember, the churches are what crucified christ. the religious sects had a majority of the say-so in the political stance of the roman empire and it was Jesus who went aroudn preaching that the churches were corrupt)

It's OK to disagree with the church or not to go to church.
Hatred is negative and is NOT good for u.
Marriage is a civil affair and u really don't need a church to get legally married.
If u don't believe in hell u can't go there.
Nobody can condemn u or save u. U r ur only savior!!!!

Well I can't understand why you would hate church but it would depend on how pure your heart is and only God can be the %100 accurate judge of that. Christian Marriage is very important but it is not a nessecity, so my advice to you is to find and touch base with some sort of relationship with God because it hardens your heart each time you don't attend a house of the Lord.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Find a good Bible-believing church - you just can't beat that for support and growth, not to mention the greatest peace of mind when you know Christ. The church can't condemn - so never mind that. Only God condemns.

NO WAY. A relationship with Christ is not based on our going to chruch or good works. Jesus Christ is the only way for salvation. Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. You won't be condemned for not going to church. Put your faith in Jesus Christ and forget about the so called religious folk. Grant it, there are plenty of genuine Christians out there. Church is for worship and spiritual growth. Maybe one day you will find a church tht you feel at home in.

A more important question would be: why do you feel this way? There are lots of people that believe in God, that can't stand church. I'm one of them.
If you are not convinced about the faith you were raised in, perhaps you should take a closer look at the basics of your faith. There is nothing wrong with asking questions!

That's exactly how I handled my similar situation. I respected my parents' rules and went to church while I lived with them, but after I moved out at 17, I never set foot in a church again. I feel fine. You don't need a book and to pay a preacher to tell you how to be a good person.

There is no such place. You're safe. And, if you want to marry in a civil ceremony rather than in church, that will work too. Should you wish to get married in the vicinity of Everett, Washington, I can do the honors myself -- I'm a minister of the Universal Life Church.

You will certainly NOT "go to hell" . It is just fine that you are not a religious person. I am not, nor is my son.
I believe one should have an understanding in all religions then you will be able to make a choice for yourself.
As far as getting married goes, you have many options available to you, however, wait for as long as possible to get married. Do not jump into a marriage.

Why would you care if you are not religious? I think it is best and so do others I know that you stop wasting everyone's time and just look into agnostic mindframe
I know how you feel though trust me. CHurch and all other social situations are very difficult for antisocial people such as yourself. I am asocial by the way.
