You haven't understood anything? God is just a name some people use for a being so incredibly immense that it not only created but is constantly creating the universe - EVERYTHING, in other words. The power by which it does this, some people call love. It is pure energy and it flows through us humans and because of who we are and our relationship to God, we can use that power, so long as we do it in accordance with the way the universe flows.

Imagine being in a small boat on a strong river. If you are a good oarsman, you can use the power of the river to steer a safe course. If you try to go against the current, you will probably end up dead.

How can you ask if that being has parents?

There are many books besides the Bible. One of the oldest is the Hindu text, the Rig Veda.

God IS.

Draw a trianlge. Put a dot on the top of the triangle. Imagine that as the pinnacle. That is God. Everything else at the base of the triangle is reality as we know it. It all goes back to God, but as you see in the triangle it goes back to God in the NOW. At the base of the triangle, there is a beginning and an end.

In that case, he doesn't need parents. OUR existence begins and ends with God.

It is similar to you imagining people and places.

God don't have parents. God always was so he didn't pop out of thin air either. I know infinite is a hard concept to rap your mind around it confuses me to even try. Why is it hard to believe God just was? Something had to be the first thing here. There has to be a beginning to this whole thing. So, there was something that just was before anything else was.

GOD is father to the fatherless He is creator of all things and there are some questions that you will never have a answer to and the only time you will ever know the truth is when you stand before Him and ask Him all the questions that you want to know. You will then know also that you are in heaven and not in the lake of fire. love Jesus freak

In causality, God is the uncaused cause. Although the rule is tht every effect has a cause and not vice versa. In the Bible, God tells us He is the Alpha & the Omega, the beginning and the end. He has always been.
