The highest possible G.P.A. is 4.0 if you take "regular" classes. If you have AP classes, your G.P.A. can be as high as a 4.5. I do not think there are any schools that offer an AP version for every class, so a 5.0 is out of the question. :) 3.75 is outstanding. Good job and keep it up. :)

Most schools rate their GPA's on a 4.0 level. With 4.0 being the highest, yes 3.75 is good. A 4.0 is generally an A and a 3.0 is a B. A GPA of 3.75 would probably consist of mostly A's and A-'s. An A- would be 3.7.

The highest GPA for many schools is 4.0. Some schools have weighted grades. For tougher classes, they can get a 5 point A, so that inflates the GPA. Our valedictorian had a 4.3 GPA. A 3.75 GPA is very good. I had a 3.6 in high school and was in the top 10 percent of my class.

generally a 4.0 is the best.
A=4.0
B=3.0
C=2.0
D=1.0
F=0.0
Some scales (particularly in High School) are based on something higher (4.5 or 5.0). This would be because those schools give more than a 4.0 for grades recieved in "honors" classes. All colleges and universities I know of use a 4.0 scale. I'd guess about half of all High Schools use a 4.0 scale while half use something higher.
a 3.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale is outstanding for a college, and still very good in HS. A 3.75 GPA basically means that for 4 classes, you got 3 A's and 1 B.

On a normal scale, 4.0 is the highest GPA score available, not counting honors or advanced (i.e. AP) courses. 3.75 is an excellent GPA

Depends on the scale. 3.75 in 4.0 scale GPA is good. But 3.75 in a 5.0 scale is not very good. Most use 4.0

usually 4.00 but if you are on a weighted scale (5.0) because of IB or AP then it can go higher than a 4.00 3.75 is not bad especially if you have take some challenging course and maintained that average
