I am going to my doctor today to ask for some type of sedative to help me relax while I'm on a plane. I am looking for something non-habit forming that is also good for sensitive stomachs. Any suggestions?

actually he might suggest Gravol, its not habit forming and for a long flight it works well, for short flight you might need only a half a tablet, because it could make you drowsy when you want to wake up. Atavan or Lorazepam are ok too.

I have a hard time sleeping at times, so I use Benadryl. It has the EXACT same ingredients as many over the counter sleeping pills (but in a lower dosage) and is usually a lot cheaper, especially the generic brand. I also know it will not harm your stomach at all...I had Gastric Bypass Surgery about 2 years so I have a very sensitive stomach. I hope this helps and have a safe trip!

Your doctor will only give you a couple of tablets, and if you only take them a couple of times while you're on the plane, you certainly won't become addicted. Most likely, you'll be given some kind of benzodiazepine, temazepam or something similar.

Gravol helps with the stomach but is also soothing for the mind. It helps with plane (travel) sickness or discomfort.

Dramamine or and motion sickness type medicine. You can get it over the counter.

Ativan perhaps? I took that a long time ago and I did not get addicted to it.

ativan is very adictive ..dont touuch it ..ask your dr. not the web.
