Mine smell terrible. I've tried washing them with soap and water and it doesn't last very long.

Try using Softscrub. It works great. This is also good for whitening tennis shoes.

Try soaking them in combo of Lemon Juice, a drop of chlorine bleach or liquid Oxy baking soda (use lemon juice and some powdered oxy, or generic from Dollar Tree if you have nothing else).

Make sure the flip flops if they are foam rubber/cheap materials are ok to be soaked...otherwise, foam ones need to be replaced...sorry!

I have heard that if you put them in a bag and throw them in the freezer that the cold kills the odor bacteria.
Haven't tried it myself, but if you do and it works let me know

My daughters flop flops are pretty rank.... I have stuck them in the sink with some Tide n' hot water.
If that don't work... toss them. :-)
