I think people should be DOING things to make themselves prowd rather than claiming pride in their skin color.
I am grateful to my ancestors, and proud of their accomplishments.
I can only be truly "proud" of my OWN achievements.

In and of itself, (national) pride tells me that the support that person feels is emotional, not necessarily objective or factual. When it comes to harmless things, like supporting your olympic team, it's simply fun. When it comes to politics, it becomes far more dangerous and useless. It implies that they support/dislike an issue for emotional reasons, not factual or objective reasons, and unless I see or hear additional testimony, assume they don't care about the facts behind the issue. Of course, whatever position I choose after reviewing the facts, the persons on the opposite side that wear the "??? pride" shirts will call me a racist. Then I consider them ignorant, and worthy of political opposition.

The White pride makes me uncomfortable I guess because I always associate it with Racism. Irish pride is OK (national pride never bugs me). Brown Pride...I guess its in the same catagory as white pride but less threatening.

Well, I'm not sure what to make of the Brown Pride one which is on the Mario Puzo Godfather logo of marionette strings. Is it saying the brown people are puppets or puppeteers? In the book, the Godfather was definitely the one pulling the strings.
Since we whites are clearly a minority, perhaps I should get used to the first shirt.
Question, who defines when you are 'brown enough' to wear the third shirt or 'white enough' to wear the first one?
I thought Mexicans were white until I hit this board, and I think some of them think they are, too.

I don't think it should be racist to wear a white pride shirt but o.k. to wear any other pride (i.e.: brown pride, black pride, Irish pride, etc.)

i think if black people can do it, everyone should be able to, and if you get offended by a white person wearing a white pride shirt, don't wear black pride shirts
