Because most people feed their dogs on tinned dog food ,or dog biscuits and their poo is brown colour where it is getting rid of the impurities. If you were to feed your dogs the Bones And Raw Food ,BARF, diet as we do, the dogs "poo" is normally white and disintegrates quickly when it left to the natural schemes of things.

It is because dogs are no longer fed scraps of food and bones. The calcium from the bones makes the turd go white. I am not sure if this is true, but some people also used to say that it is a sign of worms, but I doubt this theory. Everyone feeds their dog 'dog food' e.g. Pedigree. All of this artificial stuff is fed to the the dog, but people no longer buy their dogs as much bones.

You obviously have a white dog poo fetish! There must be other questions you can ask...Like...How come dog poo is all brown lately?
.......I did read your question last time...Remember I keep all the white dog poo in my fridge for coffee whitener. It wasn't funny then & it isnt funny now!

Because dog food manufacturers dont put chalk into their food anymore. Years ago it was used to bulk out cheaper dog foods. Since then the standards have changed.

oddly enough i had this conversation with my husband yesterday!!! it is down to the food, dogs used to eat the marrow bone from the bones and that was what turned the poo white!

you get white poo if you feed pork which is not healthy for a dog...also white poo is hard and means the dog is dehydrated...

Because dogs aren't given bones to eat as often as they used to be. If I remember rightly this was featured on a tv programme some time ago. I wonder if maybe we should be giving them bones to eat - probably good for their teeth, and all that lovely marrow must be good for them.
