My boyfriend & I have a special place that we went a few months ago. We were laying on a blanket next to a pond talking about our relationship and we saw a shooting star. We are going back there in a couple of weeks.

Ok, here is some other background stuff. A couple of weeks ago, he said that he was going to plan something big next month. He has also talked about saving money up for a trip that he is taking in November. (He would not have to save up for that at all.) Also, the "M word" has been brought up a few times. He has said things like, "Someday I am going to marry you." And things like that. What do you think the chances are that he is getting ready to "pop the question?"

I'd say the odds are about 70:30 in favor of him popping the question. Don't get your hopes up though- it's better to be surprised when he does then disappointed if he doesn't. Go see Bruce Almighty and watch what happens to Jen's character when she thinks Bruce is going to pop the question- and how she feels when he doesn't.

Maybe. Do you really want to spoil the surprise if he does? If he doesn't ask you, will you still enjoy spending time with him? But at the same time, you might want to ask open ended question about this trip or tell him how special he is to you or really appreciate sweet thing he has gone out of his way to do--tell him how special it is to go back to this place because it's a really special memory for you--just like you told us. :) Good luck!

He may, BUT try not to get all excited about it. You don't want to be let down if he has something else special planned. I had a friend that used to build herself up and then he wouldn't ask and she was always disappointed. I know its hard to not be excited, but its better off.

Good Luck with whatever surprise he has for you :)

Hmmmm... dunno. I had no clue at all when my man asked me. I've been asked 3 times, have said YES once. Knew it was coming the first two times and the first word out of my mouth was HE LL NO- and the third time when I had no idea, it was OMG YES!!! So I like the surprise of it all.

Ooh i really hope so! It sounds so romantic lol, but don't get your hopes up, cos you'l feel so down if you're wrong and he'll see how hurt you are. Let us know if he does!

Boy, I hope so, because it sounds like you are going to get your feelings hurt if he does not.
