I have heard that your food can become tainted if you cook with shiny side in, is this true?

From Reynolds Wrap Website:

"Frequently Asked Questions

"Which side of Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil should I use, the shiny or the dull side?

"Actually, it makes no difference which side of the aluminum foil you use—both sides do the same fine job of cooking, freezing and storing food. The difference in appearance between dull and shiny is due to the foil manufacturing process. In the final rolling step, two layers of foil are passed through the rolling mill at the same time. The side coming in contact with the mill's highly polished steel rollers becomes shiny. The other side, not coming in contact with the heavy rollers, comes out with a dull or matte finish.

"The exception is when using Reynolds Wrap® Release® Non-Stick Aluminum Foil. The non-stick coating is applied during manufacturing to the dull side of the foil. Always place the non-stick (dull) side toward the food."

Sincerely, most foils don't have a shiny/stupid part. The ones that do are simply to make the foil non-stick. In the event you bought the foil that has the non-stick facet, then i might endorse hanging the shiny aspect on the outside and the stupid on the inside in order that your food doesn't keep on with it. The stupid side is the non-stick part.

I have done it both ways and found it really doesn't matter but I usually do it shiny side out. And no, you won't taint the food regardless.

The dull side should be out as it attracts the heat ,and the shiny reflects the heat away to be technical ...so I always keep the dull side on the outer side.

food goes on the dull side. add a little cooking spray if you are afraid of the food sticking. the shiny side gets the grill. What time is dinner? BBQ sounds great tonite!

Actually, so much foils shouldn't have a glittery/stupid aspect. The ones that do are with ease to make the foil non-stick. If you purchased the foil that has the non-stick aspect, then I might advocate striking the glossy aspect at the external and the stupid at the within in order that your meals does not persist with it. The stupid aspect is the non-stick aspect.

The shiny side should be out. This will retain the juices.
