I recently just started getting back into church and reconnecting with God. I don't think I was ever baptised. How do I know I am ready, what steps need to be taken, and how do I go about getting ready for baptism?

You will know you are ready in the following ways

1) you have accepted Jesus into your heart and believe in all that he has done, all that he will do , and all that he is doing.

After you have done this, you should feel a real need or pull to read and re read your bible and to learn more about this gift of Salvation that you have accepted.

As you grow, you will begin to feel the need or pull to obey what is written in the bible about how you should live according to Gods will and not your own.

When you can feel in your heart that you have done the above, you may want to publically proclaim what you are now feeling in your heart and in your life style. If you want to do this, let your pastor know that you feel that it is time to get baptized.

When you wait to be baptized , the feeling is so wonderful upon coming up out of the water. May God bless you and keep you.

There is only one criteria that makes you eligible for baptism in the Bible: making Jesus Christ your Lord, which entails repenting (turning away from) your sins. PERIOD. If you can say this, you are ready for baptism! No where does it state in the Bible that you must become a Biblical scholar, nor do you have to endure weeks of classes at your church. Just believe and be baptised. Speak with your pastor about this as soon as possible.

baptism is nothing mroe then a symbol. if you think u need it to be closer then god then have at it. but its not a necessity and all it means is that you want to start new and live life for god now. you can do that without being baptised. u can wake up in the morning and say, God today is the first day of the rest of my life, that i dedicate to you. please help me live a life that you will be pleased of

you know you are ready when you have accepted god. Just go to your pastor, because each church is different, and he can help you out in getting baptised.

Go to the minister at your church, or if you dont go to a church, then find a spirit-filled man or woman of God to dunk you in a tub of water and pray for you.

First, you should speak with some of the pastors at the church.

But you know you are ready because you are wanting to do it...

God Bless.
